Pairing: Vam all the way!
Summary: When Bam and Ville finally are given a chance to be together, will they be able to make the life they always wanted?
Disclaimer: I don’t own anything connected to HIM, Ville Valo, or Bam Margera. Nor do I imply that in reality they are anything but friends. I, however, could not pass up a great idea for a fan fiction!
Warnings: Angsty in the beginning, but it will get better! I swear!
Authors Notes: I'm still pulling this story together, so hopefully it will work well with me posting it before its done. I've only rewritten this story like... eight times...

They had quickly gotten use to the constant jokes about “double trouble” twins. They knew this was not going to be a cake walk and it wasn’t at first.

Esa would have been a dream come true if he had been a singlet birth, since he quickly discovered the binky and with more and more practice could easily self sooth. As long as he had his binky he was a happy baby. Of course that made for a few frantic moments when Bam ran around looking for the desired pacifier, but once he had it, he was content.

It was Niklas they ran into a bit of trouble with. He did not like the binky; he did not like it all. If it was offered to him, he spit would it out and cried harder. On top of the round the clock care the twins needed, Bam was still managing most of his many projects. While he did not travel far from home for obvious reasons, he still ran Viva La Tours and his other internet based projects such as his internet store and website.

Ville was not working much since he had become some what distant from the band. He missed his friends and life on the road, but he also understood they didn’t exactly see eye to eye with things in his life at the moment.

While they were impressed with how well Bam was handling the stress of being a new parent, April and Phil were even more impressed with Ville. He had taken up the role as care giver with an ease that they hadn’t had until their own children were much older.

They watched in amazement as Ville silently bustled around the house. They saw him at all hours of the day and night usually with one, if not both, of the twins in tow. He never complained about how tired he was, or bitched at Bam for sleeping longer than he did; in fact he allowed it to happen more than once.

The twins had been put in the same room, in a desire to keep them close together. However this turned out to be a bad idea and they quickly had to change it. It broke their hearts, but if they wanted the twins to be on anything close to the same schedule, they had to separate them beyond a piece of foam in the same crib.

Naps had been a big part of the plan they had originally come up with. The books always say to take a nap when the babies' are asleep.

However, in reality, there always seemed to be something to do. Even after they had split up the chores so Bam was in charge of laundry, Ville was in charge of dishes, and so forth… there was always something that needed to be cleaned, a child that needed attention and little time or energy for the adults involved.

Which left both parent’s stressed, exhausted, and with very frayed nerves.

April and Phil helped out a lot, but still could only do so much. Phil had paper work to do and April had her business to run. That did not stop them from offering help whenever they had the time or when they noticed Bam and Ville getting a bit overwhelmed.

It was like having tunnel vision in a way, the twins demanded so much attention that everyone’s focus was primarily on them. Which was to be expected; they had known going into this that their world would have to be primarily around their new children, but the actual act of doing it was taking a heavy toll on the new parents.

They had very little time together, which on one hand was something they were very use too. Most of the time they didn’t even think about each other since they had so much to do for Niklas and Esa. On the few chances they were able to spend a little time together, the twins always seemed to end up needing something and the moment would be over as quickly as it had started.

Ville was thinking about this as he gazed at his son through half closed eyes. The sun was just starting to rise over the horizon, shinning golden light into the room. Esa had just gone back to sleep, which must have seemed like a perfect time for Niklas to wake up. Like his twin, Bam was upstairs sound asleep in bed. Ville hadn’t the heart to wake him up when he heard Esa crying to be changed, he might as well stay up with Niklas.

Despite how tired he was, so tired in fact he felt sick from it, a smile lingered on his lips as he watched Niklas. He was sitting on the couch, partly slouched with his knees up, propping his son against them. Niklas gazed back at Ville, smiling and cooing, which reminded the singer about the way Esa had done it to him just a short while ago; though with a slightly milder enthusiasm that he seemed to shine with if Bam was around. They had tried hard not to pick favorites, but it would seem the twins themselves didn’t have the same problem… Esa had always favored Bam while Niklas was happy with anyone who would hold him.

He yawned, opening his eyes a little more as he leaned his head to the side, so he could rest it against the back of the couch. Niklas kicked his legs back and forth, completely content since his belly was full, his diaper was clean and he was awake to interact with one of the most important people in his little life.

After almost falling asleep, Ville reluctantly got up to walk around with his son, bouncing him a little in the process. April came downstairs when the pot of coffee, he had made, had just finished perking. She noticed right away how exhausted he looked.

“Here, let me take him so you can get some rest.” April offered, smiling at the little boy who smiled back at her. She reached out to pinch one of his chubby cheeks, before running her fingers through his hair.

“It’s alright… I’ll be fine.” Ville said as he held up his cup of coffee to her before taking a drink. “Don’t you have a meeting to go to anyways?”

“Yes I do… I wanted to go over some stuff with my employees…” She paused to giggle happily, taking a drink from her own mug. “I still love the way that sounds… my employees.”

Ville chuckled too, adjusting the way he was holding Niklas, “You have been doing a wonderful job.”

“You too sweetheart…” April said as she put her mug down. “Now give me my grandson.” She said in a playfully demanding voice.

“If you insist…” Ville mumbled as he gently passed the baby to April.

“I do.” She kissed Niklas on the cheek before making goofy noises at him. “Oh what a handsome boy you are.” She kissed his cheek again, giggling all over again at the noises he was making before hugging him. “How I love you and your brother… even if you are a bad little boy who keeps his poor papa up all night.” She said in a light hearted tone.

“Not all of it, just some of it.” Ville put in as he rubbed his eyes.

“Where is my son at?” April asked.

“In bed, sleeping.” Ville said, quickly adding when he saw the way she frowned in disapproval. “I chose not to wake him up.”

“You papa spoils that daddy of yours…. Yes he does… yes he does…” April said to Niklas. She looked to Ville again, “Is Esa sleeping too?”

“Just put him there myself when Niklas woke up.” Ville answered, showing her the baby monitor.

“You really do spoil Bam… I would have made him get up and help with Niklas.” April commented, which made Ville chuckle.

“Usually we both do get up with the boys…. But he was so exhausted from working and being up with them that he just didn’t wake up this time. I couldn’t bring myself to do it….”

April smiled and nodded even though she knew that Ville only got Bam up when he absolutely had too. That’s not to say Bam didn’t carry his own weight, because he did, he got up a lot with the boys. But Ville, she noticed, had no problem taking primary care of them to allow Bam to get that little bit more sleep. “That’s because you are a good man Ville. Still…” She looked to her grandson again, kissing him on the cheek again. “I would make him get up soon, if only to get a nap in your self.”

“I probably won’t have time too… we have a lot to do as it is.”

April frowned with concern, “I could watch him now so you can get some rest.”

“Really I’m alright April, besides you have things to do…” Ville said as he reached out for Niklas. “I’ll be fine once I get my second wind.”

“Are you sure? I really don’t mind…”

“I’m sure…thank you…I might just need you later when I’m about to pass out from exhaustion.”

April shook her head, smiling a little when Phil came up from behind her and kissed her cheek. “Will you talk some sense in to him?” She asked as she waved her hand in Ville’s direction.

Phil chuckled, “Good morning boys. What seems to be the problem?”

“April wants me to go to bed.” Ville said.

“Look at him! He’s exhausted!” April cried, she did so in an intentionally exaggerated manner.

“Are you exhausted?”

“I’m a little tired, but I’ve been up longer before.”

Phil looked to his wife, “I love you Ape… but maybe you’re worrying too much?”

April rolled her eyes dramatically and waved her hand at her husband again in a manner that made the men in the room chuckle. “I’m a mother and I know when someone needs sleep.”

Ville smiled at April for a moment.

“What?” April asked.

Ville leaned forward and gave her a hug, “thank you for always caring about me.”

April blinked in surprise for a moment and then returned the hug. “Of course… why wouldn’t I care?”

Ville shrugged as he concentrated on Niklas in his arms. “Nothing.”

She watched the younger man for a moment and saw a sudden sadness in his eyes that she couldn’t explain. “I’m going to at least make you some breakfast. You stay right here…”

“Just give in and get use to it… so long as you are old enough to be her child, she’s going to try and take care of you.” Phil said.

A small smile returned to Ville’s lips, “then what’s your excuse?”

Phil chuckled, “I’m just too helpless… she takes pity on me…”

“That’s enough from both of you!” April scolded them, hitting Phil with the dishtowel.

“You’ve been around Bam too much. Next thing we’ll know you’ll trade in the PT Cruiser for a Hummer and start skateboarding through the house.” Phil teased his wife.

“I would never trade in the PT Cruiser! I love that car!” Her proclaimed love of the purple car in the driveway made the men laugh.

“Hey look at that…” Phil said softly, his eyes on Niklas now.

Ville looked down at the baby in his arms, his eyes going slightly wider. The little boy was sleeping peacefully, his left thumb jabbed into his mouth, sucking on contently.

“Oh my god isn’t that the cutest thing ever?!” April exclaimed before she could stop herself. She clapped her hands over her mouth, praying she hadn’t woken him up, which she didn’t. “I’m getting my camera…” And with that said she scurried off.

“Ahhh… to find pleasure in such a little thing.” Phil said in an airy manner.

“Yeah...” Ville said softly, while trembling a little, tears forming in his eyes.

“Is something wrong?” Phil asked.

“I told you he was tired…” April said as she came back into the room.

Ville kissed his son on the head before nodding, “Yeah… maybe I am?” He waited while April took pictures of Niklas and then put him in the crib they kept downstairs.

“Are you sure you’re alright sweetheart?” April asked gently, placing her hand on his arm.

Ville gazed down at Niklas for a while before nodding, “He just reminded me of someone else is all.”
