Bam winced as a ball of paper hit his head. With practiced calm, he kept his eyes on his teacher until she turned to write on the chalkboard. When she did, he leaned over, eyes still locked on her back, and snatched up the note. Unrolling it skillfully under his desk, he read it while the teacher continued her tirade.

Meet me out behind the old skate park.

Bam scanned the room for the source, to find the most popular girl in class watching him intently. When she had caught his eye, she winked before turning back to her preppy friends. At the movement, Bam completely lost his classroom composure. He stared at her outright. He'd had a major crush on her for almost a year with only minor distractions. He knew everything there was to know about her, from where she lived to how many boyfriends she had gone out with.
Today, she wore dark, blue-gray jeans that seemed spray-painted on. They widened at the bottom and capped chocolate brown-heeled boots. A tight brown tee, only a few shades lighter than her hair, completed the outfit. Her makeup was perfect and her nails manicured. Noticing Bam's stare, she turned back and smiled, her bubbly friends giggling behind her. He managed a small grin before turning back towards the teacher.
She had never even spoken to him before, so why now, he asked himself. He would go, no matter what the reason, but the thought did not stop his questions. He thought back to find answers.
In the past week he had skipped school twice, vandalized the middle school, pulled pranks on a couple kids, and screwed around with his friends- nothing special about any of it. Finally, it clicked. Though he skateboarded all the time, it was still only around his friends or at a skate park. This week, however, he had just gotten a customized board. He rode it everywhere, including school hallways. This show must have piqued her interest.
Grinning to himself, he vowed if it was skateboarding she wanted he'd give her what she wanted. Cutting out of school early, he rode home. He took his new board and outfitted it with new trucks and his flashiest wheels. The board was black with Bam written on the bottom in gray calligraphy. Purple and blue phantom flames licked at the letters. The wheels matched beautifully. They were dark purple with pale purple and white flames.
He even took a shower before changing into his best skateboarding outfit. He sported black shoes under his jean shorts and a tight gray shirt. He topped it off with fingerless gloves and dark blue-tinted sunglasses. Running out the door, he removed his glasses and checked his reflection. His sapphire eyes stared back at him, glowing brighter than his jeans. They seemed to shine like stars in his joy. He grabbed his board and hopped on it the instant he exited the house, jumping the porch steps and speeding towards the old skate park.

Once the first ramp came into view, Bam sped up. He kicked off again and pumped as hard as he could. He turned the last corner and hit a pebble or a crack. Flipping off his board, he slammed into ground and skidded to a halt almost seven feet away. He groaned as he sat up, used to the pain, but not the impact.
He checked himself over once to make sure he could still move. He had scrapes up his left arm and blood trickled down into his eyes. His jeans were torn at the left knee and some blood had begun seeping through.
"Fucking stone," he muttered to himself as he turned around. He winced when the pain redoubled at his movement. He wiped a hand across his forehead, stopping in his track as he saw what his skateboard had run into. Only when he felt the burn of sweat in his wound did he return to reality.
It wasn't a pebble or crack that threw him. Rather, it was a man. He lay curled, crumpled like a fallen doll. A porcelain doll with translucent skin and a well toned body. Various dark shapes snaked their way up his arm and decorated his torso. His porcelain face so soft, was beautiful to either sex. Dark silk curls fell gently around his face. A mass of black fabric and an umbrella were nearby, along with Bam's skateboard.
Bam walked over, grabbed his skateboard and prepared to set off again, but something called him back. He felt drawn to the man, something about him made Bam tremble, though not with fear. If he had ever seen an angel, this was it. After making up his mind, Bam reached for the man, hoping he was as light as he looked. Once the man was settled bridal style in Bams’ arms, he stepped slowly onto his board, allowing their weight to settle before slowly pushing off to return home.

For those who want to know, Bam is 16, Ville 19. And yes, the girl is Missy.
