~*~Chapter Nine~*~
~*~Bam’s POV~*~
We arrived home to find Linde asleep in a chair and Olivia and Eveliina were drawing with marker on his face. I couldn’t help but laugh. Ville acted angry, but I could tell he was holding back a smile.
“Olivia, Eveliina, what are you doing?” Ville nearly shouted, waking Linde in the process.
“Huh? What?” Linde mumbled, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
“Answer me!” Ville said sternly.
“Olive put me up to it, I swear,” Eveliina said, dropping the marker.
“Olive?” I questioned. Eveliina pointed to Olivia and Olivia bowed her head.
“Olivia, did you put Eveliina up to this?” Ville asked.
“Put Eveliina up to what?” Linde asked, confusion covering his face.
“Go look in the mirror Lin, you look like a Vietnamese prostitute,” I said, laughing the whole time.
Linde walked over the mirror hanging on the wall and just stared for a moment. I was afraid of what he was going to do. I mean Linde’s a quiet person, but he does get his lady rages. I watched him carefully, waiting to see what he was going to do. He soon turned to me and smiled.
“You’re wrong Bam, I look better than a Vietnamese prostitute,” Linde said in a serious tone, I bust out laughing.
“Enough you two! Now Olivia answer my question, did you put Eveliina up to this?” Ville asked.
“Yes, Uncle Ville,” Olivia said barely above a whisper.
“Now that’s not nice Olivia, you apologize to daddy and to Eveliina,” Linde said, picking up his daughter.
“Sowy,” she said as she placed her head against Linde’s chest.
“I’m sorry Vil; I fell asleep while they were watching Nightmare before Christmas. You know that movie always puts me to sleep,” Linde stated, smiling.
“It’s okay Lily,” Ville said as he rubbed his temples with his index fingers.
I talked to Linde for a minute before he took his leave. I knew that Ville was now beyond stressed. We still had to paint the room and then wait for the furniture. I decided that Ville needed to relax, so I went into the bathroom and filled the tub with water, bubble bath and made sure to place a rubber ducky in it.
“Baby come here a minute,” I shouted, once the bath was drawn.
“What Bam?” Ville said as he entered the bathroom.
“Strip and get in! You are too stressed out, I will deal with everything for a bit,” I said as I ushered him into the bathroom.
“Don’t you come out of here for at least and hour, okay Ville?” I said in the most serious voice I could.
“Thank you Bammi.”
“You’re welcome baby,” I said as I exited the bathroom and closed the door behind me.
I went into the living room and found Eveliina watching cartoons. I went and sat next to her, noticing that she was watching Rocko’s Modern Life.
“Eveliina, you want to help me paint your bedroom?”
“I get a bedroom?” she asked looking shocked and confused.
“Yes sweetheart, where did you think you were going to stay?”
“I don’t know,” she said bowing her head.
“Didn’t you have a room when you lived with mommy?”
“No.” I started at her in shock, but I didn’t push it. This was something that she needed to talk about when Ville was around.
“Well now that you live with daddy, you get a room all for yourself,” I said as I smiled down at her.
“So do you want to help me paint it?” I asked again.
“Yeah Bammi, lets go paint.”
I took her hand and we headed to her room, I got the paint and everything else we needed. I laid down the plastic on the floor and got a brush and little tray for Eveliina. I handed her the tray and brush, getting her to paint the far wall. She smiled at me and started to paint in little strokes. I couldn’t help but watch her for a moment, until I knew that she would be covered in paint by the time we were done.
An hour and a half later we were done painting the room and as I had suspected Eveliina was covered in purple paint. I cleaned up the painting supplies and then took a look at the room. Eveliina came over to me and placed her little hand in mine.
“It’s so pretty Bammi!” Eveliina squealed.
“I’m glad you like it princess,” I said as I picked her up and hugged her.
I heard an “awe” come from behind me and there stood Ville with a look of love in his eyes. He walked over to us and hugged us both.
“Bam the room looks great!”
“Eveliina helped . . . a lot,” I said pointing at her paint stained clothes.
“Wow, she did.”
“Let’s go get you a bath kulta . . . okay?”
“Okay Daddy.”
“Bam, if the furniture people come, can you just have them place the stuff in the room? I want Eve to pick where everything goes.”
“Okay Ville.”
I walked back into the living room and switched the TV on to MTV. I laid down on the couch and I was out not to soon after.
