Chapter 1
Running from an invisible force, he ran, sweat fell into his bright emerald green eyes, the eyes that had witnessed the impossible, had he really seen what he thought he‘d seen? He ran down a dark ally, which was his mistake. As soon as he’d stepped foot into the darkness, it surrounded him. His breathing picked up pace, who were they, and what did they want with him, and was there really more than one? “You know this would be a lot less painful if you would stop running.” A voice called out into the darkness, deep and familiar. However, he couldn’t quite place it; he knew it had to belong to someone close to him. But, who? His fear prevented him from realizing who it was, even if one thought it would be quite obvious. A figure moved in the darkness, and then it moved into the moon light.

It was Bam, relief swept over him, and before Ville could say a thing, Bam’s lips crashed into Ville’s in a bruising kiss. Ville’s lips parted to allow entrance, for Bam’s tongue. When Bam’s lips parted, he knew something had changed, his tongue slid into Bam’s mouth, it was his teeth of all things. Ville’s tongue moved over Bam’s now elongated teeth, slicing it open. “Ouch!” Ville winced, his tongue was bleeding, not to badly though. He looked into his lovers eyes, a smile shown on his face. Teeth showing in the dark alley, something had changed. He now had elongated teeth, sharp as razors if not careful. His Bammie was a vampire.

“I’m sorry,” he frowned, looking at the blood on Ville's lip.

“It’s ok, I think…” Ville replied. Bam closed the gap between himself and Ville. And began to stroke Ville’s cheekbone with a pale white finger.

He started to kiss Ville along his jaw line until he got to his neck. Lips met skin and a moan escaped Ville’s lips. Bam pulled back. “Ville,” he sighed. “I need to tell you something before this goes too much farther, you getting hurt would just kill me.”

“Ok? Love what is it?” The worried look on Ville’s face said it all, he was unsure of himself, and worried about his Bammie.

Bam bit his lip, “I was turned into a vampire, and well I wanted to know if-” He broke off, Ville’s lips crashing against his.

When they broke apart Bam’s blue eyes met his lovers. “Make me a vampire.”

“Wait, what?” Bam could not believe what he had heard, even though it was music to his ears, he hadn‘t expected Ville to react that way, of course he knew Ville always had a thing for vampires, but to become one, that was a different story. A dream in a lost place, a hope in a darkened pray, one that had been answered.

“Make me a vampire. I don’t want us to have to part, and I know that this might cause us to have to part, in some way, I know what people would do to you, to me, just for loving you. So make me a vampire.” Ville had made up his mind, and he was not backing down. But he had no idea how he’d known what would happen if he wasn’t changed, something in him seemed to change, but he didn’t know what it was.

“Are you sure love? This is a lot to ask for.” Hope still flickering in his eyes, as much as he wanted Ville to say no, he wanted him to say yes twice as much.

“Not for the one you love.” Ville said with a smile, he had gotten his way. Of course, he was used to that by now, he knew that Bam couldn’t say no to him, but Bam didn’t know that Ville couldn’t say no to him either.

“Ok, umm, this won’t hurt too terribly, I should think…” said Bam with a worried look on his face. It all changed when Ville’s lips crashed against his, his way of telling Bam it was ok. Bam moaned into their heated kiss. His lips left Ville’s leaving a trail of butterfly wing kisses to his neck. He gently kissed the skin and lightly bit down, not enough to break the skin, but enough to feel. Ville’s moan told Bam that is was ok to continue. He bit down again, but this time he broke the skin, and began to suck his lovers sweet crimson blood.

“Bammie?”

“Shh, don’t worry,” Said Bam after removing his lips from Ville’s flesh. “I’m here, you’ll be turning into a vampire shortly, and I’ll be here for your rebirth.” As he said this, what color was in Ville’s pale skin left him, and he fell to the ground, Bam rushed over to Ville’s cold form and knelt beside him, taking Ville‘s hand in his stroking Ville cold hand with his thumb, a worried expression painted on his face. Minutes past and then…

Ville’s eyes fluttered open, his night eyes looking around, they then focused on Bam. “Bammie?”

“Oh, thank god.” The worry left his face; he scanned over his lover’s body and then smile. “You’re ok.” He said with a smile.

“Never been better.” He got up with Bam helping him to his feet. Brushed himself off and looked around, oh how the world looked different, and sounded, his eyes seen better then any mortal’s that ever live. His hearing was also much better, the sound of a mouse in the corner caught his attention.

Ville continued to look around, he smiled showing his newly grown fangs. “Damn you just keep getting sexier.” Bam said before he could stop himself. Even with the blood gone from his pale cheeks, he still blushed.

“If I look even half as good as you do than I’d be happy.” Ville said a smirk on his face; he loved to make Bam blush, even if most of the color was now gone from him.

“We should really get going, the sun will be up soon and I want to tell you about everything.” Bam said seriously, since when had he ever been serious?

“Like?”

“What it is to be a vampire. Come on.” Bam grabbed his hand and led him away through that alley running into the night. When they stopped running, they were by an old oak in the middle of an abandoned field. Bam touched the tree and made and odd symbol with the tip of his finger and the tree opened into a cavern. Bam ushered Ville into it. “Go ahead and sit down,” and Ville sat down on a wooden chair, in the center of the room, another chair before him.

“What is this place?” Ville asked as he looked around. A high ceiling of rock, with stalactites hanging on for dear life. If he had still been mortal this place might have felt creepy, but to him it did not feel creepy it felt, like home, in an odd sort of way. He felt odd, no strong emotions flowing through him; it was something new, new was not necessarily good.

Did I make the right choice? Of course I did! This is the love of my life I am talking about! And nothing will change that, especially now. Ville thought to himself. His thoughts were interrupted by Bam, “This is my dwelling, and I guess you’d call it that. I found it shortly after I was turned into a vampire.” he said taking a seat in the chair opposite of Ville.

“So you bewitched it to open to your touch?”

“Yes and no, it was like that, but the one who had dwelled here has long since passed. But I did have to figure out how to get into it, he had left it sealed.” Bam made a mental note to tell Ville how to get in later, but there was more important things to be discussed.

“Right, ok so what about this, ‘What it means to be a vampire’ crap?” Asked Ville remembering what his lover had said.

“Well first of all, we have many powers that mortals know not of, each of us has a special power, and the powers given to us by the dark lord, the ones each of us have. They are our night vision, our speed, hearing, strength, and we can also jump very high. But we need to find out your gift, each of us has one, but what is yours?” Bam asked to no one in particular.

“Can’t we just like test it? Wait what is yours?”

“Well love, mind trickery is my game,” a devilish smile played on his lips as he said this. So, this is how he lured me into that alley, how clever…but of course, when has Bam used someone’s free will to tell them something… Ville thought to himself.

“Well we can’t test it now love, the sun will be coming up anytime now, and we need to finish going over the vampire code. The sun won’t kill us, but let me just say, what it does is not pretty, so if we dare go out into the day light, don’t forget your shades. Second garlic won’t kill you, but it is worse then a hang over, avoid holy water, it’s like acid on mortal flesh. Am I missing anything?” He asked scanning his mind.

“Crosses?”

“Oh, I almost forgot, and thank the devil I didn’t, the cross is one object you don’t want to mess with, and the whole stake thing is just a story, nothing a little feeding can’t fix.” He looked over at Ville to make sure he was paying attention.

“Ok, go it, what about the sleeping thing?” He asked, Ville had read about the coffins and how they were the vampires’ protection whilst they slept.

“We do have to sleep in them yes, but mine has room enough for the both of us, and dawn is approaching. We should sleep, and tomorrow we’ll find out your power.” Bam smile and lead Ville to his coffin. They undress to their boxers, and got in. Bam wrapped a protective arm around Ville as to say everything was going to be ok. Ville smiled at this small gesture of affection and drifted of to sleep, in his lover’s arms.
