Prologue Chapter 1
"Ville, we must hurry. We're running late" Ville sighed as he heard his mother nagging him, as she had been doing a lot recently. It was always something like 'Ville hurry up' or 'Ville if you don't hurry, we won't make it in time'. Who cared? Not him. He just wanted to go back to Finland instead of being in this completely different country. America. Out of all the countries his mother had decided to 'run' to, it had to be America. Ville had remembered pleading his mother to stay in Finland, but she resisted, demanding Ville to think straight.
"It's not safe in Finland" His mother had said to him but Ville didn't see how it was any more safer in America. Alex would still find him. He always did.
"Ville! Stop dreaming! We must find ourselves a taxi" Ville sighed as he moved quicker through the people who walked in and out of the airport. What did it matter if they didn't reach the hotel by 5pm? It's not like it is going to close up. The young finnish boy took a deep breath before moving quicker, catching up to his mother who was moving quickly.
"Mumma. Please. Wait. Why must we move so quickly?" Ville questioned, struggling to keep up. It was amazing how fast Ville's mother could walk, she seemed so quick, even to Ville, an 18 year old teenager. Imagine that, a teenager at the age of 18 was still living with his mother and following her around. It's like he never grew up. Oh of course he wanted to leave home, he had tried. He moved in with Alex. But it all went wrong and now his mother would not let him out of her sight.
"They are to meet us there. They said they would be there at 5.30" Ville's mother explained as she reached the taxi lot, looking around for a taxi. She smiled triumphately as one stopped just in front of them "Ville, hurry, put these in the back of the taxi" she said, passing him two travelling bags. They were small, all Ville and his mother could bring was some clothes. 'Not many, we must hurry' his mother had told him. But why did they have to hurry?
"Who mother? Who will be waiting for us?" Ville questioned after putting the bags in the back. He watched as his mother got into the front of the taxi while he got in the back. His mother told the taxi driver the location before turning and looking at her beautiful son.
"The detectives. Before we left, Detective Lindstrom told me that some American detectives would be there. They will protect us" his mother explained, smiling in reassurance. Ville frowned, his mother had not told him this, neither had his best friend. He thought of all people, Lily would have told him that his dad had organised people to protect him in the United States.
Ville looked down, biting his lip. If only this all hadn't happened he wouldn't be going to America. If only he hadn't met Alex.
"Ville, darling" Ville looked up at his mother, who was looking at him in worry "everything is going to be alright"
Was it? Ville didn't think so

"Bam, watch out" Bam turned quickly, but not quick enough. He fell to ground, feeling the weight of a laughing Ryan Dunn on top of him. Bam growled, pushing Ryan with all his might. Ryan gave a final laugh before hauling himself of his grunting friend.
"Got ya" Ryan laughed before turning and running for his life. Bam growled again before standing up, Ryan had been thinking it was funny to tackle Bam lately and it had been making Bam in a cranky mood.
"Dunn, you better run for your life" He yelled before running after the red haired teenager. It was easy to catch Dunn, he wasn't as fast as Bam on foot and could easily be caught. As Bam turned the corner of his house, he smirked, Dunn was just standing there, talking to someone. Bam didn't care who it was, he ran as quick as he could and tackled Dunn, knocking both the person Dunn was talking to and Dunn to the ground.
"Viitu!" Was yelled as all three fell to the ground.

When the taxi had finally came to a halt, Ville was suprised to see himself in a family neighbourhood.
"I thought we were going to a hotel?" Ville questioned his mother, frowning a little. Ville's mother looked at her son.
"You could call this a hotel" she commented, pointing at the family house in front of them "except, it's more like a safe out of the city hotel" She finished, looking at the finnish boy for his reaction. Ville splutted a bit, feeling his face go red.
"What do you mean? A place where all the detectives can keep an eye on me?"
"Ville..." Before she could finish, Ville interrupted her.
"No mumma, you promised no one would keep an eye on me all the time. That we would be alone and now we have detectives watching me twenty-four seven"
"Ville please, Alex is dangerous, it's for your own good"
"No mumma, it's not" and with that Ville got out of the taxi, feeling betrayed and angry at the same time. He moved quickly away from the taxi and over towards a boy he saw.
This boy was obviously an American who lived here and if Ville was going to stay here, he had to at least have some friends. He walked up to the red head teenager who had stopped running and looked at Ville.
"Hi. I'm Ville Valo" the American boy frowned for a minute before extending his hand.
"I'm Ryan Dunn, where ya from?" Before Ville could answer he felt the air get knocked out of him as he fell to the ground.
"Viitu!"
