Chapter 7

Flabbergasted. That was truly the only word to use to describe him at the time being. He did not even know where to start off in explaining the whole situation. All he could truly remember was the argument the two of them were having. He had been expecting the brunette to rip his head off because of how much anger he had been holding. However, what had happened in the end totally took him by surprise. He did not even know what to think when Brandon’s hands were gently placed on each of his cheeks. Or when his soft lips were upon his own. Yet he didn’t stop the younger man. What did he do? He returned the kiss. He had to admit, from all of the arguing going on to the sudden kiss that took place, the whole thing had made him hot with need.

Still, as soon as it started it ended. Brandon had pulled away and Ville knew instantly that any emotion that has been rushing through his body was now completely gone. It wasn’t till he spoke that one simple word ‘Sorry’, Ville knew that it had all really happened. He knew that he had really kissed his student. And of all places, within the parking lot of the school he was teaching at. He sighed quickly at his stupidity as he watched the last of Brandon’s car disappear from view.

Sighing for a second time, Ville tried to push back any thought on what just happened to the back of his mind. It had been a mistake, and when he got the chance he’d have to fix it. Turning to his right, he looked over at his car. Not damage had been put to it, and he was slowly starting to believe that Brandon had nothing to do with it. Hearing glass crunch under his footsteps, from Brandon’s window, Ville slowly walked up to his car. As his fished around his pockets for his keys, he noticed that his mind was slowly inching back to back at happened between him and his blue eyed student.

He instantly shook his head, attempting to erase any thoughts he was having. Not only had it been a mistake, but now his job could be at stake if anyone was to find out about it. Finally unlocking his door, he climbed into his car. Setting all of his belongs in the backseat of the car, he turned over the ignition and started the engine. Before letting his thoughts get to him again, he pulled out of the parking lot and headed home.

The drive to the house seemed to do nothing more but drag, only because he wanted nothing more then to hide himself. Before he knew it, he saw the house come into view and he quickly pulled into the driveway. With the car off, he reached into the back and grabbed a hold of his belongings. With them in hand, he climbed out of his car and made his way to the front door. Turning the door knob, he instantly knew that his roommate was home as the door opened instead of being locked.

“Ville!? Is that you?” the voice of his roommate shouted through the house as he closed the door.

After setting his things either on or next to the table that was mere feet from the front door, he began to remove his coat. “Yeah. It’s me.” he answered back. He removed his arm out of the last sleeve and placed it on the coat rack. He then decided to head straight to his room, but Shy had stopped him halfway.

She had stepped out of the kitchen when she heard his footsteps. “Hey there sweetie. How did your day go?” she questioned cheerful, but with one look at him and she knew something was bothering him. “What happened this time?” she asked quickly, before he could put a word in. She still remembered the other night when he had told her about that one guy.

“Something bad, I think.” Ville answered softly as he looked over at her shorter figure.

“Come.” she spoke gently as she reached out for his hand. “Tell me about it.” she added just as gently as she began to pull him into the living room. Once in the living room, she took a seat on the couch and motioned for Ville to do the same. As he did so, he rested his arms on his knees. “Go ahead.”

At those two simply words, Ville found himself explaining the whole situation to her. Not only with what had happened only minutes before he got home, but also with what happened when he kept Brandon after class. Not matter how hard it had been to push all the thoughts away earlier, they easily came back for him to tell his story. Minutes later, he finally had told Shy everything and soon silence fell among them. “Please Shy. I need to know what to do.” he added softly, as he held his head within his hands.

“Wrong though it may be,” Shy started as she watched her friend’s actions. “Its not like he's going to run screaming to the authorities that you raped him or something. I mean he initiated the kiss, am I right? Well, then I think perhaps you two need to have a talk over some coffee or something.” she added gently.

“Over some coffee?” Ville questioned with a laugh as he looked up at her. “Remember, besides the kiss that Bam had put actions towards, we kind of are not on the same terms.” Ville stated, pointing out the obvious.

Shy nodded her head in understanding. “Right you guys hate each other, I forgot that little bit.  Now I still stand by the whole you two need to talk bit, but perhaps you should talk to someone close to him.  See how his mind works before you go in to deep and there's no backing out.” she replied, trying to help him out before he lets things get out of hand.

“Who would I be able to talk to, that's close to him? I have only been there for a few days now.” Ville questioned as he noticed that he truly did not know much about his students yet.

"Well, does he have any friends?" she asked gently as she watched his actions.

Thinks for a little bit, remembering anyone Brandon is with in class. "There is this one girl he is always with. A girlfriend maybe?"

“Possibly," she spoke, nodding her head. "Try talking to her, but don't let Brandon know about it."

"How am I suppose to talk to a student about kissing another student? Could that not possible put my job at stake?" he asked quickly. "I know he's not screaming out rape, but how can I talk to another student about this?" Along with his question was a sigh.

She took a deep breath looking thoughtful. "Well, perhaps...you could do it carefully, just ask her how to get Brandon to stop acting out in class, or to perhaps pay attention to you in class?"

He shook his head at her words, "By asking her that, are you trying to tell me that I need to stoop down to his level, just to get him to listen in my class? My opinion is he needs to respect his teachers. Not cause fights with them. Nor kiss them." he spoke sternly, only to have his voice soften at the last three words.

"You liked it didn't you?"  She asked arching an eyebrow.

Ville quickly turned his back to her. "I am not saying that I did." he answered quickly as well.

"Sure Ville,"  She said with a laugh

Ville sigh softly, but still audible before slightly turning back to face her. "It was a kiss, yes. But nothing more can come out of it. I will not allow anything to come out of it." he replied, his voice showing that he was now serious about his decision. "And let's say I do talk to this girl about Brandon, to see how his minds works. No topic of the kiss should be brought up, right? I mean, if she is his girlfriend. How am I suppose to tell her that I kissed her boyfriend?" he added softly, eyes now focused on his hands.

"Yeah, not a good idea."  Shy said softly patting his hand.  "It'll be okay."

At Shy's actions of patting his hand, he glanced up at her. "So just talk to this girl about how to gain his respect? Forgot the kiss? Maybe save both myself and him from any trouble?" he questioned gently, hoping he was doing the right thing.

She nodded.  "Yeah, that’s my best advice for ya Vil-"  She said smiling.

At her smile, a smile of his own slowly played on his lips. "You know Shy, you're the best." he laughed softly before pulling her into a hug. He had known her for years, and even when he was in Finland and she was here in the States, she was always there for him. Just like she was now.

She hugged him back quickly.  "Your welcome,"  She said kissing his cheek.

The conversation soon ended for the two of them and Ville excused himself from his spot. He was thankful that Shy was willing to give him advice and not turn her back on him. However, with everything out all he wanted to do was be by himself and think about what was to come of tomorrow. Not only was he still slightly stressed out about what had happened, just the thought of the next day was stressing the situation even more.
