Chapter 19

The Fin looked at young man, his eyes suddenly filled with fear and sadness. The blue eyes saddened at once releasing the skinny body from his hands. The Fin walked slowly over to the machine and hesitated a while before he looked into the young man’s worried face as his finger found it’s way to the button that released the beeping sound.

“I know you’re sleeping right now and I hoped you wouldn’t answer it, for I couldn’t bear to talk to you. Not after what I’ve seen,” the lovers shot their frightened and shocked eyes to each other until the voice carried on again.

“I knew you never loved me, I just didn’t want to admit it. I don’t hate you for loving someone else,” the Fin could hear her sobbing and he closed his eyes as the image of her crying at the funeral hurt his heart.

“I just…You could have done it somewhere else, not in our bed, and not today,” the sound of her crying made both men feel like they’ve killed her. The Fin was shaking of anger and hate for himself while young man was taken over with fear of what the Fin might do now.

“Don’t try to find me; I don’t want to see you any more. Don’t call me, just leave me be and be happy. I don’t hate you, I just don’t ever want to see or hear anything about you again. I wish you luck in your new life,” and the clicking ended the torment in the Fin’s ears. A few tears fell down his face and rolled over to his clenching lips.

Young man was frozen, unsure of what to do or say, he just felt some horrible storm rising slowly in Scandinavian veins just waiting for something to trigger it. He was too afraid to even breathe and he couldn’t make himself move though all he wanted was to run to his Fin and take him in his arms and make all the pain go away. Make him forget about everything that had just happened.

“Noooooooooooooo!” the awful, painful cry from the Fin’s lips as he took the machine and pulled it out of the wall with such fury and strength that young man’s blood froze and his face went pale, as he watched the poor machine hit the wall before it crashed on the floor.

“Nooooooooo!” another wounded cry spread through the room as the Fin was shaking, holding his stomach like he’s sick. The young man naively walked to his lover putting his unsure and shaking hands on his lover’s cold shoulders.

“Don’t touch me!” the Fin snapped shrugging the young man’s hands off of his back. Young man’s hurt was showing in his face but it had no effect on the furious and hurt Fin.

“Get out!” he shouted at the poor man as tears were rolling down his tanned face.

“Get out! Now!” he shouted again, walking towards the young man. The image of the tall skinny figure, green eyes hiding behind the long dark curls, shooting fire into his blue ones in that still dark room terrified the young man.

“I won’t. I promised you I’ll never leave you,” young man said abruptly trying to defend himself, but it only seeming to enrage the Fin more.

“I want you to get out of here!!!” he was uncompromising. He grabbed young man’s arm and started to pull him towards the apartment door when he saw them broken and stopped, letting go of young man’s aching hand. The poor boy was grateful for the broken door for now he can stay near his lost lover, acting like a desperate mad man. He was afraid he might hurt himself.

The Fin turned around and stomped furiously towards the bathroom and locked himself inside before the young man could get to him.

“Ville, please open the door. Let me in,” young man begged desperately. His mind flashed the image of shattered glass on the floor of the bathroom and he cursed himself for being so foolish not to clean that mess up last night.

“Ville open the door please, talk to me” he begged in vain.

“Go away!” the Fin roared from inside, with his back leant against the door, banging his head a little.
“Leave me alone!” The poor Fin lost in all his hurt cried out. He slid down onto the floor, burying his head in his hands, his body shaking under the hard sobs. What had he done? How could have he done this to her? He had broken her heart. He had crushed her completely. Her father has just died and she was already hurt too much and now he did this to her.

“Love, please open the door.”

She saw them. She saw him kissing and giving his body to another person in her bed, to a man. He felt disgusted with himself. He was making love to a man the way he never had before with her and she saw it. Why is he so sick? What is so wrong with him?

“Ville let’s talk about this love, please.”

And she just left. She was there, she saw them and she just left them. How he have not heard her? He was so immersed in twisted passion and weird lust that he couldn’t hear her coming. God, he prayed he could die.

“Love you’re frightening me. Say anything please.”

She knew he never loved her, the same. Her father was right and she knew it. Everybody was right about him. He’s worthless. He couldn’t do anything worse than this. He cursed himself over and over for everything he’d done, everything he was, everything he is. There was not a single thing about him that is worth anybody’s sympathy. He banged his head hard on the door and it didn’t hurt as much as he had hoped.

“Ville you’re terrifying me.”

And she doesn’t hate him. What could be worse? She should have killed him the moment she saw him with someone else. She should have just killed him and be freed. It wouldn’t be sin and no one should blame her. No, that would be a mistake. Her soul is too pure to be ruined with his worthless blood on her innocent hands. No, she’s not the one that should take his life away.

“Ville, please. Please I’m begging you,” the young man cried desperately with his body pressed against the cold wood. He was desperate to hear at least one more sound coming from inside just to make him sure his Fin hadn’t done anything to hurt himself. He prayed that his pleading might actually come to the Fin’s ears and to his mind and he’ll open the door.

He thought he heard movements on the other side of the door and he held his breath so he could hear better. He heard glass crushing a bit like someone was walking over it, then some low squeak like of a door, then there was nothing. He racked his brain with what might be happening inside there. He waited for some new sound, anything, but there was nothing but a silence for a while.

“Ville,” he was starting to panic and he banged on the door. “Ville, open the door,” his voice was turning from the frightened into a commanding one. He heard a low strange hissing like out of pain.

The glass! He hesitated no more. He pulled away from the door and hit it with his leg with all his strength and the door swung open. He got inside and saw the glass lying everywhere on the floor mixed with blood. The cabinet was opened and the thought of pills shot through his mind.

He walked over to the bathtub and pulled away the shower curtain and he nearly had a heart attack. There was his lover, sitting in the shower leaned on the wall his eyes almost completely closed. His pale skin was deadly pale now, his chest looked motionless. His hands hanging down beside his body and the blood running from his wrists, one piece of the glass fell from the Fin’s hand and a small empty bottle of pills that rolled in the corner of the shower.

He somehow quickly returned from the initial shock and ran to the bedroom searching through the Fin’s clothes for a mobile phone. He was terrified as his hands were shaking of shock and panic dialing the three digits and waiting for someone to pick up.

He shouted the address in the phone and ran to the bathroom to see if he can do anything to help his lover if it was at all possible.
