After two hours, I have somewhat tentatively labelled all of my verbs one of the six verb types... Some with pretty question marks next to them, so that the Prof. understands I have -no idea- what I'm doing despite trying my HARDEST to understand this first chapter ( Read more... )

PS I was *deeeefinitely* swearing at your book. Then I may have thrown it against a wall. What the fuck does Vc even *stand* for?!

I've decided it stands for 'Very Close'. As in, 'very close to this other verb thingy I've decided to call Vg, good luck figuring it out'. And I can just picture the guy who wrote the book smirking and shooting you a thumbs up as he says that.

Well, I would have just stabbed the assignment and sent in a letter saying that the assignment suffered a confirmed kill. You did better than I. ;)
