Oh, how odd! What with the departure cropping up in my interpol-supporting predictions and all. You're right, we do need to bake! Can we do it on Saturday night?! Or is that when the tears is? Are you on about the butterfly cakes? Where you scoop out the spongue at the top and fill the hole with cream and a wee bit of jam...and then split the sponge you took out in half and put them back to look like wings. This could be one of those odd things that my mum does though.
no, that sounds like a normal thing that mums do, unlike mowing the lawn with a hoover. i think you mix a bit of icing sugar with the cream to make it sweeter and thicker. i'll have to dig a recipe book out. and no, saturday looks good to me, the tears is next week. your place or mine? we'l have to move on to more elaborate dishes like hot pot or double chocolate fudge cake. or souflés, they're hard to make apparently. let's not get too adventerous though..
