What is it about the human condition that makes us so easily over look how good we have it and what we have?

contentment. when people are happy and content with how things are, how their lives are the stop questioning it.

at least thats the first answer that comes to my mind.

Ah but when we claim contentment we also tend to conplaine about what we are still missing, do we not? You know atleast one person like this - that can never truly be happy with their lives no matter what they say about how happy they are. Deep down they are still mourning the lack of something.

I think that is the point though, isnt it? The people who seem to most loudly proclaim contentness also seem to complain a great deal still. Sorry I hope that I'm not just arguing, I just am having difficulty understanding a few people I know that do this. It is really perplexing me, but then again it does not really have anything to do with me either.

Does that make sense or am I talking in circles?

that does make sense.

in a personal perspective i felt pretty content till these last few weeks. and i think in these last few weeks is where a lot of my complaining has exited for this year. i mean not just on live journal but in general.
