Obviously I can't comment on your situation with the other boy, but take it from me -- there is no problem, so to speak, with breaking up for college. A lot of people try to stay together, and sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't. It hurts, fuck yeah it hurts, to lose the person romantically, but if you give it space and time, you give it the chance to become a real friendship, and possibly, to become a new romance later in life. Trust me honey, I'm going through it right now.
