I like when I'm reading a book and I cannot put it down. I used to be THE BIGGEST book worm ever. It got on everyone's nerves. I haven't read a good book in SO LONG. What should I read next?

i'll second the memoirs of a geisha... as i picked it up from a thrift store for 50c, not having a clue whether it was any good. i was pleasantly surprised. really fascinating. i'll be around at some point in the next few days, i can drop off my copy if you'd like.

the last two books that i read and really seemed worthwhile to me afterwards were
fast food nation (basically started me off on the whole journey to no longer eating meat)
&
a heartbreaking work of staggering genius (semi-autobiographical after parents die, raises younger brother. but that doesn't cover a third of it. just really clever and well written and alive.)

otherwise, ender's game is essential if you can get past the sci-fi factor. & it's never too late to jump on the vonnegut train. slaughterhouse five is great.

and i'm a complete tool, so i'm reading harry potter and the goblet of fire right now. haha. say what you want, but i'm loving it. so stoked for the next film.
