i got rid of my 18-55 kit lens. i never really used the zoom on the kit lens anyways. i know asking for an L or wide angle lens was not in my cards. but look what mama and papa got me for christmas.

tokina 17mm f/3.5 fixed.

i never usually buy off ebay unless its something small and under $100 because i am always afraid of scammers. but i was so hyped up about this lens, i had to get it. some say its even better than the 17-40 f/4 L. cant wait to get it!
