So I've been feeling pretty shitty lately. Class is about to start and I was just checking my email. While I was checking my email, I stumbled across an old folder titled "special." I opened the folder and I had completely forgotten about all the emails I saved from my dad from when he was in Kuwait

I know how that is though. I still always feel weird even just talking to my dad, especially about personal things. But I guess when there's an ocean between us, it's just easier to let things out.

Honestly, reading these emails got me a little misty. Despite the hardships you've had with him, he really is a sweet man. The only time my dad every emails/texts/calls me is to get after me for SOMETHING. It's always business as usual with my dad. There's never any emotion. You're a very lucky girl.

As strict as my dad is with me, and as strict as he is being a military man and all....he's actually pretty emotional.
