She’s been degraded, exploited, NOT celebrated,
Saturated with self hatred

thats me and jay's favorite part. jill scott is our girl

that song relates to me in some sense because i was gunna head down that road. feeling that i have to show off my body to receive "love" in return. its interesting on how women of all sizes has experience this, but i believe it hits home for big women because many feel that a guy dont want them, unless she's having sex with them, hence the stereotype that all big women are horny and want sex. NO, we want LOVE but many has tried to find love in the wrong places

i just wanna hug jill sometimes.. well.. all of the time! lol..

well I'm glad you didn't head down that road. when you chose to decline you saved yourself from another world of trouble. Even though I'm not big, I still felt it reflected me. Immediately I thought about how I was always put on the back burner for the more lighter skinned girl. Most of the time I always got the "not so attractive" guy because most guys always flocked to my lighter friends or the guys just didn't seem interested. Some people denies that and say it's not true but I say it is, or maybe that was just the "in" thing at the time. whatever the case may be, a lot of chocolate drops feel me when I say this because one time or another, they've been rejected because of their complextion. I'm sure the light folks has had their share to. But do you get where I'm coming from? lol I'm stuggling on explaining myself.
