Today is another shop day, because of yet more rain.  I might be in the big mean oil and gas industry now, but we are hamstrung by the environmental considerations, so they can't drag our trucks through the mud and tear up the roads or leases.  But on the brightside it means that I rarely have to stand out in the rain like I did yesterday.  Twelve ( Read more... )

So I took a week of holidays at work last week since it was so slow.  I never realised that holidays really don't count once you have a house.  You just end up working even harder than if you had gone to work.  But at least we've got our backyard fenced in and gravelled, just got half a load more to wheel to the back and spread out.  With two ( Read more... )

Ever get in those moods where you just want to get into your car late at night and go for a drive just for the hell of it? If I would've had company I would've went to Calgary for coffee after work (2hrs each way). Just for something to do and to enjoy the night air.
