Oh Trece, this is so in character that I can't even begin to tell you. I was really hoping that I could read today but crap came up and yeah. Anyway, I'm gonna read til I fall asleep, so YAY!! That bartender looks eerily familiar but I don't know from where. And I was kinda hoping he was gonna be fair with the boys. He seems like a cross between John and Bobby to me. I hope he's not a bad guy. But then again, that might be good too. LOL And the whole proposition conversation? Bwahahahahaha! Damn, I love Sam. And Dean's reaction was perfect. And I got a little goosebumpy when Dean said abruptly "Sam's my family." And then he just spilled everything. Oh boys! I can't wait for more so I'm on to the next chapter. *flails* See you on the other side! This is sooooo good!! *hugs*
This is not a spoiler: Paul's a good guy. When I wrote Paul, I kind of thought of him as an older Dean - had he not grown up in the life. Aside from Gert, Paul is my favorite Original Character. In my head, I have a whole backstory for him. Unfortunately, Boxholm is so far off the beaten path that I can't imagine the boys ever making it there again.
The proposition conversation - I almost decided against it. It's actually the thing I like least in the entire piece, because it is the least in-character. But it's funny, and as you've already read, the conversation comes up again in a different context. Also, I figured that the slash fans would get a kick out of it. :)
