Lol, grammar is finicky at the best of times, and I'm Southern too! (By transplant, I'm only half-blood XD) And in absolute sincerity, the only reason I know the difference is from reading the "Little House on the Prairie" series when I was little (there was a scene where one of the girls was like, "Who's that at the door?" and the mom corrected her. FFFFFF the things we retain!).

Hey, don't be too pressured to make a sequel, some of the best stories I've read (published or on the webs) would come from the author taking their time! You have an excellent "voice" and a real knack for humor and pacing, both qualities of an excellent writer. :)
