I'm sorry this post is a day late, and that it's so small. I'm in the middle of my second round of midterms (aka I have four papers due within the next two weeks) and I don't have as much time to go image-scavenging as usual.

Thanks! Wooooo the first one is my FAVE. I am an anthropology major so I analyze everything way too much. I guess my current pet peeve is that the overwhelming majority of LJ icons containing people have WHITE people in them. Ethnic diversity ftw!

Yes, that bothers me a little too. Mostly, though, I think it's because a lot of our icons are of actors and actresses, and in Western films, the majority of them are white.

There are exceptions, of course - note my prettiful icon of "the guy who plays Blaise Zabini in the sixth HP movie" :)
