Okay, I've been doing more thinking about this whole career thing, so I'm finally going to do an entry about it. Might at well put a cut in case this gets too long.
Lauren Montgomery has a Deviant Art account, I think. I remember someone linking to it when she talked about the possibility of a Batgirl: Year One movie getting made (and then not getting made). I think she may have a blog as well.
I found both her blog and Deviant Art account, but no direct way to contact her on there. I feel like I should be able to find her on my alumni directory.
I think you are old enough to know that you'll get lot's of rejections but all you need is one "yes." So once you embolden yourself for that, you're set. Having a lot of options is great because from a statistically point of view, it shifts more toward your favor.
I would suggest emailing Dwayne McDuffie, too. He's got a lot of contacts in the industry, experience, and works on Ben 10 so he could be a great aid. I've spoken to him before through email on various things, and he's always quick to reply and very helpful. dmcduffie@mac.com

Thanks for recommending Dwayne McDuffie, I didn't even think of him! Okay, I'll see where e-mailing him takes me.

He's the only DC animated vet I can think with an 'official' email. Most of the others only have near-neglected blogs or half-dead Deviant Art pages.

That's a great Mari Devon story!

And small world concerning Mari Devon, eh?
