"-I was going to save my Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck reactions until I finished (2 chapters away), but a couple things from Chapter X - I'm so freaking pissed at that House of Mouse episode that said Donald is more goose than duck! For a while, I've wondered about the Duck/McDuck family tree, and now I've finally seen it. So much work went into it, and a gag had me misinformed for years (not that I believed it, I just didn't know a comprehensive Donald Duck history was available). Grrr."

Chapter 11 is the best chapter. I'm pretty sure some of the Coots had some Gander (a type of goose) in 'em as Gladstone is a gander. However Donald is most assuredly a duck.

And never assume House of Mouse is canon. That way lies continuity headaches.

"-Is it fair to compare the Beagle Boys to the Royal Flush Gang?"

Honestly? No. The Beagles are more silly than evil.

I had SIX wisdon teeth removed when I was a teenager. Yes, I'm a mutant.

I never cared much about Disney canon anyway since Mickey, Donald, and Goofy can exist in any era with their own history (although I do have a secret shame in that I liked seeing Max grow up over two TV series, 2 movies, and a couple specials). I think I'm just upset I didn't know about Donald's genealogy earlier.

The Royal Flush Gang are more crooks than evil, they don't kill (most of them, anyway), but I was referring to the fact that both groups have a family mentality to them, they go out and start families to bring them into the business. I kinda like seeing villains like that.

Six?! At the same time?! Ouch. Oh, and have you heard of/have any interest in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog? Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion are great in it.

Actually Don Rosa sets all of his duck stories in 1952 and considers only Carl Barks (who made Scrooge famous in that era) the only Duck writer who is considered canon. I agree with that assessment.

On dial-up so Dr. Horrible is out. However Joss said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that a DVD release is planned and I'm going to get it on the day it comes out.

I'm pretty amazed that such an old character can keep a tight history like that. I like it.

I actually bought my Dr. Horrible on iTunes (it was 5 bucks), but a DVD is good as well. Hm, I'd be tempted to get it if there are extras and lyrics and whatnot.
