And some several hours later, that silence is broken again as the door opens. Two heavily armed, and heavily armored guards are there, and with them is Leon. Leon stepped past them and into Salazar's cell, but the guards didn't follow. Leon just waved the guards off, and they nodded, then closed and locked the door, though they remained just outside.
Inside, Leon leaned against the wall and stared down Salazar for a moment. "You and I are going to have a little talk..." He paced around the cell for a bit, casually inspecting it.
"You and your girlfriend are in a world of trouble. You, in particular, are completely fucked sideways, but..." Leon let that linger in the air for a moment. "...you do have a chance to help out Hips here. Answer a few simple questions, be honest, and you might be able to get her enough wiggle room to plead out to lesser charges."
When Leon enters, Ramon is still sitting in the same, fetal position in the middle of the room. His head jerks up from where it's resting against his knees, blinking a little owlishly and looking towards the door in aprehension. When Leon enters, his expression deadens. No spite, no anger...Just a blank, slightly worried look.
He still doesn't get up from where he's sitting as Leon enters and settles against a nearby wall. He doesn't turn to look at him either. Instead, he just rests his chin on his knees, wrapping his arms around his legs as well.
"...I know. I know I'm in trouble. B-But...Si, I would like very much to help Hippolyta. Please. Ask your questions. I'll be honest and try to answer as best I can. I promise."
Leon pull a small tape recorder out of his pocket and started taping.
"Everything you say is going to be recorded. To keep your Fifth Amendment rights in tact, anything you say here that would incriminate yourself can't be used against you in court for any of the current pending charges." Not that don't have a mountain of evidence already. "However, anything you say you say under penalty of perjury if proven false.
"Do you understand?" Must get the legal crap out of the way.
He finally turns and looks at Leon once he's done giving him the legal lowdown, and nods twice.
"Si. I understand, acknowledge and agree to that. A-And like I said, I'll be truthful. I-I can't promise to have all the answers you seek, but I'll try."
He swallows nervously, then waits for the first question.
