It's hard to trust anyone else to do things they way I do so I'm a little worried about the state of things.

You shouldn't, considering it's supposed to be you. I doubt the universe could put anyone as fucking obsessed with balance as you, but if they're supposed to be convincing, there's no reason you have to freak out.

Of course... there could also be some kind of alternate dimension where you're gone completely and the world you're from went to shit because of it.

Gone completely? I didn't think about that alternative. I haven't met anyone I know here and so I haven't been able to confirm whether or not that would be true.

Well, it's not entirely untrue. The Colonel and I both arrived here from different universes. We both knew the same people, but things had happened differently in each place.
