Time Period: Vague near future Notes: Oooh, this one. . .I got inspired by a great How To Train Your Dragon fic, Talking In Her Sleep. In that, both Astrid and Ruffnut go gaga over a newly tall and very handsome Hiccup. Astrid spends a lot of time drooling over the way his muscles flex, and how he looks shirtless in the forge. I got to thinking about how Alice might react if she saw Victor shirtless, and bam! XD Poor girl, she has no idea how to deal with lust. (But then again, neither does Victor, so. . .)
She shouldn’t be here. She shouldn’t be standing here watching him - why didn’t he have a shirt on? Oh God, why did he ever wear a shirt? He’s so pale and so thin and - so flexible. . .the way his muscles move as he stretches is just too much. . . . He turns suddenly, and yelps. “Alice!” “I’m sorry!” she yelps back. “I was--” don’t get distracted by his chest don’t get distracted by his chest “-I - I’ll go.” She bolts before he can speak, looking for the nearest source of cold water. Damn him, why does he have to look like that?

Time Period: Future (post-climax of "Secundus," pre-marriage) Notes: It took me a bit to decide on this one, but finally I came up with something appropriate. Victor and Ferdinand make a nice pair, and I imagine he'd be pretty happy to take his first flight on his new riding butterfly. I threw in the Hiccup mention because, well, the guy designed the saddle for a dragon -- I think he has know-how Victor needs.
It’s a brilliantly sunny day when Victor takes Ferdinand out for his first ride. He hopes that it’s a good omen. He’s been dreaming about this day for months, as he experimented and tweaked - Ferdinand runs his proboscis over his face, making Victor laugh. He checks his riding gear again - it was difficult making a saddle for a butterfly, but with hard work (and help from Hiccup Haddock), he managed it. Then he mounts, carefully avoiding the wings. “Up, Ferdinand,” he says, voice trembling. Ferdinand flaps his wings, takes off - and just like that, the blue sky is his. Yes.
Time Period: Vague future (post-marriage) Notes: Another one that toes the "risque" line. I had no idea what to do with this prompt until I came up with the idea of a back massage. You could consider this a companion fic to "7) sunburn" and "19) itch."
The lotion is cold against his skin, a sudden shock of sensation that almost makes him yelp. Then he feels Alice’s hands against his back, making slow, wide circles as she rubs the lotion in. Warmth replaces the chill, making him sigh happily. Her fingers dig into his muscles, finding the tense spots and gently kneading them away. Victor can feel the stress draining out of his body as she rubs, leaving him limp and comfortable under those hands. Even his mind feels relaxed. For all her talk about his skills, Alice has some pretty talented fingers of her own.

Time Period: Future (post-"Secundus," pre-"Secundus 2") Notes: This one was inspired by a meme thread Victor participated in. The theme of the meme was "your character got pregnant," and to my surprise an Alice had commented in as preggers. So I made Victor the daddy and we had a nice little thread. Alice here is pregnant with Chester -- he's born November 5th, so Alice will be spending the entire summer pregnant. Poor girl. (Although that's nothing compared to what'll happen over in Hill Valley. . .)
Ugh. Being pregnant in summer is horrible. Alice glared at the expanding dome of her belly. It was a hot day, and the mix of hormones in her body made her feel even hotter. “Do you have a fireplace in there?” she demanded of her waistline. Victor appeared in the doorway. “C-can I get you anything?” he asked softly. Alice shot him an irritable look. “You’re a biologist. Figure out how to get this baby out of me before the heat gets worse.” “I d-don’t think I c-can get you to l-lay eggs now.” “Eh - they’d probably cook today anyway.”
Time Period: Far future (post-"Secundus 2") Notes: This was inspired by something I first saw on tumblr: The Glasswing Butterfly. Isn't it amazing? A little research yielded it was a tropical butterfly, so I had Doc invent something to move the train through time and space to get the gang to the right area. The others are at home watching the kids.
“Okay, why are we in a Panama rainforest again?” Marty groused as they tromped through the vegetation. “Don’t ask me, I didn’t pick our destination,” Doc said. “At least we made a successful test of my new time and space location device.” “I suppose, but. . .” “But it’s hot and sticky and you want to stop walking?” Alice guessed. “Yeah. What’s got Victor so excited, anyway?” “This.” The others stared at the butterfly on Victor’s finger. “Whoa,” Marty breathed. “Are those wings-” “Not glass - just transparent,” Victor said, grinning. “It’s not Fabricated.” “Amazing,” Doc breathed. “Definitely worth the hike,” Alice nodded.
Time Period: Future (post-marriage) Notes: Another one I had no idea what to do with until I came up with the comedy angle. Poor Victor -- he gets himself into the oddest situations sometimes.
“Oh - OH! Ack! Help!” The instant Alice heard Victor’s cry, she was off to the garden, Vorpal Blade at the ready. They’d never had a monster attack before, but in this city, it paid to be prepared. She burst through the back door - And stopped dead. Victor was hanging between two trees, helplessly entangled in their new hammock. “Victor, how did you manage that?” Alice had to ask. “I don’t - I was wiggling around, t-trying to get comfortable, and suddenly--” He squirmed ineffectually. “To think, today I’d planned on experimenting with spiders. . .” Alice hid a laugh. “Let’s get you out.”
Time Period: Future (post-kids) Notes: Another day at the beach for the Van Dorts. The kids are bodysurfing in this -- you know, when you ride the waves into shore. This probably wasn't a common Victorian thing, but the family's supposed to be on a private stretch of beach, so the rules of propriety can be relaxed a little. In the first draft, Vincent willingly ate the sand as a joke, but I decided the "sibling fight" version made more sense.
“Wheee - ack! Bleh, bleh. . . .” “Lorina?” Victor knelt down by his daughter’s side. “Are you all right?” Lorina wiped her mouth and nodded. “Sand,” she said, grimacing at the lingering taste. “Ah.” Victor patted her hair. “Lunch is almost ready, so you can rinse your mouth out then.” Vincent floated up beside them, carried by the surf. “You eat sand, Lorry?” he teased her. “Oh, I love sand. Here, you have some,” Lorina said, picking up a handful and smooshing it on her brother’s face. “Hey! I’m gonna-” “No fighting,” Victor scolded. “Let’s go see if any real food is available.”

Time Period: Far future Notes: Inspired by a conversation I was having with a friend about an early version of BTTF II's script. Norman was actually an alternate name for Marty Junior (Marlene's was Doris). I thought the name was funny and stole it for grandkid purposes. Electra actually comes from another piece of BTTF merchandise, the Card Game -- she's one of the player characters. For reference, Lorina (Victor's daughter) is married to Douglas (Marty's son, who here is not Marty Junior), and Marlene (Marty's daughter) is married to Jules (Doc's son

Time Period: Vague future (post-wedding) Notes: I dunno really what inspired this one. I suspect I was just thinking about Corpse Bride canon couples and wondering what Victor would think of that relatively more normal life.
Sometimes, Victor wondered what might have happened had he chosen to go back, instead of staying in Secundus. He probably would have ended up marrying Victoria, just like their parents had planned. He also probably would have eventually taken over his father’s fish cannery. Life would have continued on as normal, quiet and uneventful. And if and when he and Victoria had had children, he would have entertained them with stories of his brief trip to the Mad Science Capital of the World. It wouldn’t have been a horrible life, really. But it wouldn’t have been the best one, either.
Time Period: Future (post-kids) Notes: Another boat trip! This one owes a lot to my copy of The Annotated Alice and its notes on the chapter in Looking-Glass where Alice and the Sheep row down the river. I got all my terminology from there -- along with the tidbit that the historical Alice was not very good at rowing. :p
“Feather, Lorina!” “Do what now?” “Turn your oar blades,” Victor provided. “They’re dragging through the water.” “Yes, you don’t want to catch a crab,” Alice nodded. “That means taking the oar handle to the chest because you dipped it too deep.” “Why do they call that ‘catching a crab?’” Vincent asked. “Because it’s like a crab has grabbed hold of the oar,” Alice said. “Old rower’s joke.” “You seem to know a lot about rowing, Mum,” Chester noted. “I learned from the best.” “After being the worst, you once said,” Victor added playfully. “Hush - I still know more than you.”
