The door to the rooftop opened as a rather lost-looking young man wandered out onto the rooftop, sounding pretty out of breath. His panting subsides as he walks over to the edge of the rooftop, looking very much like the cat that caught the canary. At first he doesn't seem to notice the girl sharing this little spot with him as he looks out over the lit-up expanse of city down below.

"Heh, wow..." He lets out a couple pants, still clearly fatigued. "Those stairs were a pain, but this view is great."

Cou glances aside, at first giving a nod to the kunoichi as if she was a regular fixture up there. And then he blinks and double-takes, turning his full attention to her, "Whoa! I'm not buggin' ya up here, am I?"

{ She wasn't really expecting anyone to come here so when the door opens, she glances over her shoulder at the newcomer. It wasn't anyone she recognized, so she remained quiet and turned back to the view.

In fact, it wasn't until he actually noticed and spoke to her that she said something. }

No, don't worry. I was just admiring the view.

{ She turns to step off the ledge, when her foot suddenly slips out from under her and she begins to fall;

over the edge and toward certain doom. }

Balls, just as I'm going to bed. You mind if we pick this up later today?

Fortunately, the sky pirate had feeling oddly conversive this evening and was still looking right at the ninja when she slips. Immediately he feels his heart go into over-drive. Oh, this sort of thing just used to be way too normal for Cou. His eyes go wide as reflexes jolt him into action before any conscious thought can really register.

He breaks into a dash, hand immediately going into the pouch inside the back of his jacket containing his trusty hook and cable, hastily drawing it free. As he nears the edge his free hand reaches out for stranger while his other slings the hook to where it catches on some conveniently placed pipes.

Just as his hand gets within centimeters of hers, he calls out to her, "GRAB MY HAND!"

{ She turns, and seeing the familiar three-tailed fox standing there, she smiles. }

'You ever get that feeling to turn your eyes to a specific spot, for no readily apparent reason? Well, here I was, just walking as usual, when that particular instinct happened to kick in. My eyes drifted to a specific ledge on a specific building, and as it turns out it's a damn good thing they did.'

[ From the sidewalk below, Kyon stares up to Sheena's perch, hands jammed in his pockets as he blinks a couple times. ]

... What are you doing up there?

{ Hearing the familiar voice, she turns her gaze to the street below. Rather then answer his question however, she leaps down onto a balcony just below her ledge;

jumping and leaping until she lands directly in front of him. She kneels there in that spot for a moment, before standing up right and dusting herself off. }

I was admiring the view.

--thank God, for a moment I thought you were gonna jump.

'... well, she did jump, technically, but I think she'll know what I meant.'

I guess that's quicker than the stairs, though.
