Intro post - No event

There's a burst of bright white-hot light appearing suddenly and when it clears away there is a handsome young man with waves of golden-blond hair standing there. He looks around, confused for a moment before he lets out a loud, cheerful laugh, almost of triumph.

"Now, where did I end up...?" He muses aloud.

[Introducing a young Gellert

For better or worse, the burst of light has drawn the attention of a rather small warrior that's been exploring the city as of late in search of her "family." She watches him from a rooftop nearby-- is he a magic user...? She's had a nasty run-in with one before, so, for now, she keeps her distance.

However, he may have heard her approach-- wooden feet aren't very good for stealth, really. Or he may have seen her from the corner of his eye. Either way, a small, slender, white form is watching him silently, her bird skull helmet remaining over her eyes and her spear held tight. Just in case.

She wants to see what this newcomer is going to do before she makes her move.

He does have his wand in hand and does sense that someone is nearby. He glances around, eyes bright and he looks more joyous than anything else. He doesn't appear as if he's about to start any trouble - and he doesn't intend to, at least not yet.

"Come out! I know you're there!" He calls out in an amused kind of voice.

She remains still for the time being-- has he seen her? Well, either way, he does know that she's there, it seems.

She doesn't reveal her location just yet, however.

"Who are you?" She knows that you can tell a lot about someone's nature by how they present themselves. The voice is that of a young woman; not older by any means, but clearly an adult.

He turns toward the voice, eyes narrowing slightly, trying to see exactly where she is. He has an easy grip on his wand, not a tight one, and seems to be unthreatened by the voice.

He breaks into another smile. "Are you shy, miss?" He then bows in a sweeping manner, very old fashioned. His voice has a slight accent. "I am Gellert Grindelwald. May I ask who you are and where I am? I'm a little... lost," he chuckles, not sounding concerned about that at all.

"Dey call it Infinity, mon ami. Make of dat what you will."

The voice came from nearby, a figure pressed against the wall of a building, calmly observing the newcomer who, by all means, had just appeared out of nowhere. If it surprised him at all, it didn't show.

Gellert turned and grinned at the man. "Is that a French accent you have there, sir?"

"Cajun. You from Britain, non?"

One eyebrow arched at the grin. A man who smiles that much is trouble. Generally the fun sort. Interesting.

"Name's Gambit."

[ggrindelwald]

"No, I'm from Bayern... In Germany if you want me to be more specific, though my guardian would have disagreed," he laughed and gave him a short bow. "I'm Gellert Grindelwald."

"Oh, hello there. This place is called Infinity."

There's a young woman standing nearby, dressed in standard early XXI clothes, a white and black short dress. Short black hair, brown eyes, sweet smile and kind voice with a distinct English accent. She looks curiously at new arrival while she casually drinks a soda.

"I don't know who named it." Yet. "But I do believe it fits for its purposes."

"And what, pray tell, are its purposes?" Gellert turns his gaze to her and takes a step forward, looking curious.

"A soft place, I mean, a Nexus," Elaine said with certain excited eagerness. "It connects possibilities, worlds, Creations."

"That sounds very interesting. How long have you been here?"
