I remember when I was playing with such thoughts..
In the end my rational conclusion was that the end-result would be pretty pointless. I felt I couldn't live with such banality, so dying for such banality was out of the qustion.
There are too many contingencies in a termination to account for any meaning in advance of the occurance. If there is nothing real to gain from it, and others, whom you do not like, can gain grom it, then its not really that worthwhile. Counter-productive I'd say.
