It's definitely the Doctor's hand - it said so in the Radio Times.

I'm not sure Jack can regenerate though - have you read something I haven't? I thought he just couldn't be killed..

Well by regenerate I meant the cells in his body regenerating, like the Doctor when he regenerated, because when he was shot in the head, it all sort of morphed back into place, like the whole hand episode with the Doc. But I could be wrong, it's probably not called regeneration, I just assumed it was.

Oooh, what else did the Radio Times say?

Um... there was an annoted photo of the set. They showed a tiny bit of it on the show, but there is an underground train platform for a secret Victorian era line that linked Torchwood House and.. Balmoral (?) and Buckingham Palace... and some other places.
