Not happy about various aspects of this update, LJ

1. No comment headers? Seriously? We were USING those. And not just in long threads; they're used for trigger warnings to prevent people opening comments they don't want to read. Just because I don't require them myself doesn't mean I can't see that they're a good idea. Thanks for losing me a shedload of interesting people to talk to because they ( Read more... )

THUMBNAILS, IN NO DISCERNIBLE ORDER
I *think* (and I could be wrong) that they appear in the order they were uploaded? So, the newest one appears last? That's what it looks like from my list, anyway. (I quite like it, I confess. I quite often pick the wrong one when I've got several of the same person).

Yep, they appear in upload order. Which is nice and all but dear lj: scrolling through 150 icons to reach the one I just uploaded is not practical. At least give us the option of text vs image. (I could be crazy, but I thought there WAS a "browse for icon" option on comments before, to help people who got confused by keywords? But maybe I'm thinking of dreamwidth, because EVERYTHING is more awesome at dreamwidth)

Unfortunately though I remember what they're called, I can never remember when uploaded. Especially as I tend to upload in spurts.

I liked being able to go, "hmm, Doctor Who community, is this a time for Donna, Snoopy, or QI references?" And have them all there for the assessing of their merits.

Plus uploading the userpics browser on a phone is NASTY.

The subject line thing is just so needlessly mean. I don't even get what they're trying to achieve with that. The hell?

What does it save them? I just don't get how it's an improvement!

Personally, I don't like that it no longer allows you to preview and spell check. I like that feature so my deteriorating typing skills don't make me look like a doofus.

This too. I forgot to put this in the list in my all consuming rage, but being able to check one's html ain't all fubar has to to be a "functionality" that you don't want to write out of your code in single stroke!

I has a subject here. Does it show? tomo2k December 23 2011, 01:25:58 UTC
DW? What is this?

Given that the only reason I come here is to read the verbose overflowings of certain people, if they go somewhere I will follow.

(Ok, did they rollback 88 then? I seem to have preview and stuff in comments now.)
