Wow, it's been forever since I read the last part of this fic - went back and caught up a bit and yes - just as heartbreaking as I remembered it. Still, this chapter has so much hope in it - I'm really crossing my fingers that there's something salvagable for Eames and Arthur both after Eames comes back to himself. Worth the wait, definately - hope there's more soon!

I had to go back and reread the last couple of parts, but this section seems to be moving them in the right direction. Poor Eames! And Arthur's trying so hard to give him space and time and yet he feels as if he can't do anything right by Eames. Oh, boys!

I love how nothing is ever easy in this story. Even when the last chapter ended on a note of hope (Arthur's got you now, it's going to be okay), Eames is still defensive and prickly and resistant and totally in denial. It was really satisfying how Arthur finally broke him down a little, making him realize that he's being a dick to people who genuinely care about him, and they started to compromise.

Do you have this in Word? I'd love to be able to read the whole thing all together when it's done.

I wanted to make this story as realistic as possible (and I admit that its been surprisingly very cathartic to me), and - in my experience - after any event like this, things aren't easy. So I'm glad that is coming off to people and hopefully seems realistic. Which is to say - thank you very much for the comment. :)

I do have this in word. I'm about to upload the second to last part, but I'm hoping that when I finish the epilogue (Which I am about to send to my beta, gulp) I'll be able to post it somewhere in its full form. Or I could send it to you, if you like? Its turned into quiiiite a long fic!
