I'm so sorry, Brad. I am keeping you all in my prayers. I know this is an incredibly difficult time for you all. I wish there was something more I could say or do, but please know that I am thinking of you.
Oh, man, Brad! You know your Mom has been on our prayer list at church (at "home" and Spencer) for a long time, but I'll make sure the folks know what's going on. They have been asking about her a lot!
Also, know that we want to help. They're always asking how we can help. My folks live right up the road and would be offended if you didn't call if you need anything at all. Also, I'm here, and could always drive, cook, clean, whatever you need. Please don't hesitate to ask, OK? I know you guys would do the same for us, and if we can give you any comfort, it makes us happy. Your family is my family. I can't think of my childhood without thinking of you and your family.
It's not that we don't want/need your help. It's just that Mom has this super-swell, semi-retired best friend who's here 4-5 evenings a week helping out.
If your parents want to drop in and whip up a day's dinner, give me a ring. (Or, if they just want say "hi", it'd be best if they came around 5:30/6:00 during the week, when we get home from work, or most any time during the weekend.)
