Hrm. Seems to me I've heard this before...oh yeah, right before God judged Israel for similar dumb confidence.

What seriously disturbs me is that there are a number of deep elements to that prayer, as if the guy should know better. ...or he's been raised in the culture his whole life and can speak the language?

I'm ending this soapbox before I hurt myself.
