Hi, all! It's been a very, very, very long time, hasn't it? I really have to get the hang of posting regularly, even if it's just to say hi ( Read more... )

Squeeees with delight!!! You would probably think be completely demented if I told you how often I listen to your podfics of Nat's stories. Excellent stories that are read and recorded at the highest quality! It doesn't get much better than this, folks!!!

I don't think I have much room for judging other people as demented, since I have a bit of an obsessive-compulsive tendency regarding certain podfics (especially anything recorded by Raitala).

Thank you so much for the lovely comment - I would record these fics just for the sheer pleasure of recording them, but I absolutely adore the fact that other people are enjoying them!

I can only agree with the above- there's rarely a time when a chapter of one of Nat's fics read by you isn't on my iPod- I hardly ever read before bed now, I listen to podfic! Don't worry about the wait, I'd wait ages for your podfics because they're amazing :) Look forward to listening to the next one (I'm currently on chapter 10 on my iPod for the who-knows-how-many-th time!) Yay for Draco POV (appropriate icon, check) but you're right about it being impossible to choose a favourite Nat!fic! x

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment - and doubly so since I've looked back in my comments and realized that I never responded to one you sent way long ago (40 weeks! omg embarrassing!).

I'm so glad that you enjoy the fics enough to listen multiple times. I'm totally the same way about relistening to my favourites, especially anything by Raitala. I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I've listened to my own recordings more than once. Does that make me a narcissist? But podfics are just such a fabulous way to read stories I love while getting other things accomplished at the same time (dog-walking, painting, cleaning, driving, having my teeth drilled.) I have no idea how I coped with life before I found audiofic.

After I finish catching up on comments, I'm going to post the link to Detestable Logic (it's already posted on my 4shared site if you have the link to my FoundationsVerse folder).

Next up: Festive Fundamentals...

It's definitely not narcissistic- I've heard other podficcers say the same, and besides, it would be awful if you couldn't enjoy Nat's fics in that way after putting in all your hard work when the rest of your listeners get so much enjoyment out of them :)

Listened to Detestable Logic last night and loved it :) Have you stared recording somewhere different on the last two? It sounds like a different room- just an observation lol. Looking forward to Festive Fundamentals :)

Hope you're having a good week so far!

Actually, it's a both different room and a different mike. I think the mike is the more significant difference. My old one was a headset kind of thing, which was the source of all sorts of odd little clicking and tapping sounds. This one is on a little tripod thing and has a little screen thing to filter those pops and fizzes. I'm sure the 'things' all have correct technical terms, but I can't quite be bothered to learn them.

And I am having a fantastic week, thank you! It is doubly fantastic since I have the next two days off.

I tried recording Festive Fundamentals last night but when I listened to it, I sounded like I'd taken a sedative. Pacing was soooo sloooow. Also, I seemed to have a mumbling problem. I started to do some editing but came to the conclusion that it would be better overall if I redid it when I was a bit more peppy and less mush-mouthed.

I may give it another shot tonight...

I'm absolutely ok with you friending me, and I've friended you back! I'm so pleased that you liked the glomp-fest fic, and I'm extra-pleased-with-happy-sauce that you listened to and enjoyed the Foundations podfics. I love those stories, and it's such tremendous fun to record them. I'm obviously a frustrated actor!

Thanks so much for commenting!

P.S. Are you planning to make "Turn" come alive with your voice as well?

You're welcome! You're welcome! You're welcome! You're welcome! You're welcome! You're welcome!

As for Turn, I adore that story (as I do every single thing that Nat writes), but I'm nervous of making any firm promises, given my track record of taking just shy of forever to actually get things recorded. I'm going to just keep wending my way through the Foundations!Verse stories for now, and if I ever catch up on that back-catalogue...well, then we'll see what makes sense. Fluffy!verse is a pretty appealing place, too, you know.

Yay! More podfic! *squishes you* I would so be dancing around my room in delight right now except for the bit where I saw a giant centipede crawling up my wall the other night and I don't know where it went... *hopes the cat got it ...or maybe that the giant spider who was on my ceiling a couple nights ago got it*

Downloading this now so I can listen to it while I fall asleep and then re-listen while I drive to class tomorrow morning. (all through the wonderful bit about having headphones that can play surprisingly loudly and still be understandable...)

I will write you a proper fangirling comment later once I've downloaded all the new podfic you've uploaded and have gotten back from class. *squishes*

I'm sure your cat will have looked after the centipede for you. One of my principle reasons for having cats is their efficiency at insect control. I, personally, am afraid of moths (totally irrational, I know, but there it is) and I rely on the cats to deal with them for me. Sometimes I have to give them a boost to get them up where they can get the moth, but that's ok: as long as the moth never touches me. I gather that it's a very entertaining thing to see me carrying a cat around the house, lifting her up so that she can try to gobble up a moth.

Anyway, thank you so much for commenting, and I hope that you've enjoyed the most recent podfics. More to come soon!

As usual, I am hideously late at getting back to comments! Nonetheless, I do appreciate the lovely comment and I'm so pleased that you enjoy my recordings!

Thanks for taking the time to comment. (Hh, and the next story will be posting in a couple of weeks!)

So, apparently I already responded to this comment once. Am not a very competent comment responder, apparently. So now you get a three-fer!
