And now for something completely different...

Well, not completely different, since it is a podfic, and that seems to be my raison d'etre, lately. The "completely different" part is that this is not the next chapter of Foundations. Instead, it is the Spike/Xander podfic that I recorded for amplificathon's Podbang fest.

Hi! :) Wasn't sure if I should comment here or the original post at Amplificathon, but I wanted to pop in and let you know I enjoyed this a lot! Great delivery of the Whedon-esque banter, and I loved the Spike-voice. :)

I enjoyed the podfic very much. :-)

I must admit I got lost in the world switches more than once, but my attention span has never been very good, so that's likely my own fault.

Anyway, well done. :-)

Hello! The link at audiofic didn't work so I had to manually search for this post. =P

Just dropping you a line to say that I just finished your podfic recording of "There's Your Trouble" in one go. I enjoyed it very much!

I like your voice, though the girls' voices threw me off at first. Also, the transitions between Xanders' could be confusing at times, but that's par for the course because, well, alternate worlds can be that way. XD

Thanks for recording the fic, it was a lovely distraction!

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

I agree with you about the girl's voices - I found them tough to do. Which is weird, because I don't find that the female voices in "Foundations" give me any particular trouble. I found working in the Buffy!verse much tougher, I think, because I have a much stronger sense of what I think those characters should sound like. I mostly got over it with Spike and Xander, but Buffy and Willow especially gave me trouble.

There were a couple of comments about the fact that it was a bit confusing to have the viewpoint jump between the two alternate realities. In retrospect, I can see the problem; I wonder if there's a smooth way to address that kind of issue. Hmmm. Things to think about.

OMG, I completely forgot to comment on this one!

I just loved your reading of this story. It was so in character at times that I thought you were Xander. All that babbling ;-)

Thank you for the lovely comment! The Xander-babble was one of the big reasons I wanted to record this fic, so I'm very glad that you enjoyed it!
