There's only so many different ways you can create justifications and reasonings to keep on the brighter side of things. Sometimes you eventually have to shrug your shoulders and admit that, all in all, everything's pretty much shite right now ( Read more... )

Or, if I may suggest, you need to take the time out and change your surroundings, so that you aren't overwhelmed. Take a day or two off from your life, if you can. This is always a busy time of year to do so, but, still, pencil a "vacation from 6Q's everyday life" in.

I took 13 vacations this year. I think I need more of a stationary mental recourse at this point. A way to have no responsibility for a while. Of course, fulfilling all my responsibilities is the only reasonable way to achieve that recourse.

So maybe I just need focus.

I don't mean a vacation from your job, your home, shit like that. I mean from the bullshit that weighs upon your life. One way to go about that would be to have no responsibility for awhile - worked for when when I was out of work for those couple months last year.

I believe that this is the most credible thing I've heard or read all year. Thank you for showing me that someone else has integrity and sincerity. During this fucked up season of materialism and hallmark greetings, its nice to know that someone else aspires to an aesthetic ideal and desperately seeks to avoid obfuscation of reality. Your not content with being obsequious, american, nor plain. That makes you abnormal and valuable ( ... )

6Q Said: "I can't remember the last time a person showed me something I may have overlooked as an instance of beauty, rather than the other way around."

Your comment may be the instance of beauty someone else showed me first. And I am very, very grateful for it.

It seems that people's general goal is to make an attempt toward personal happiness in life. Oddly enough that quest can often kick us down by our peers. Let's face it, personal happiness is to some degree a result of selfishness. So, in a world where everything is apparently shite, is that just because people are making attempts at happiness that no longer include making others happy? Isn't your happiness something beautiful? Isn't my happiness something beautiful? Would it be more beautiful to you to take a walk around downtown with the girl down the street, or go out to clubs several nights a week? I'm not making any judgment call on how you should lead your life, or what you do with your time. But, I wonder if perhaps 6q could use a little more selfishness in himself and reflect the consequential beauty on people he loves.
