OK, so my friend and I need another room mate. We just found a place on Bathurst at Harbord, and it's a 3 bedroom. The rooms are MASSIVE and have closets in each, and they're the same sizes. There's a clean bathroom, and kitchen, and a very large living room ( Read more... )

I'll put my name down as a maybe-my alternative is living with my aunt and uncle (it would be like having parents again! Oh no!). It's totally ok if you want to say no, though, since we haven't spoken much in the past year.

Well, first question; how much are you able to afford for rent each month?

And my roommate wants to meet you before we say yes or no. When are you free to get downtown next week?

I was definitely going to ask you those same two things. Only, you know, how much should I expect rent to be was my question. I'm looking for a full-time job with someone who'll pay me above minimum wage, so assuming I find one I should be ok with the rent, but could you give me an idea of how much it'll be?

How about next Wednesday? My classes start way early, so I get out at 11:00 and have nothing to do for the rest of the day, haha. Can we go for lunch or dinner at Salad King? I really want to go back there! It's super good food, have you been?

Also I'm signed into MSN, that might be a better place to discuss things.

If it doesn't work out with Meghan for whatever reason, just post on Facebook and Craigslist and I guarantee a million people will get back to you. Virtually everyone in my year is looking for a place right now. (I'm personally looking for a two-bedroom, so I can't help you.)

What is the rent for your place, just out of curiosity?

$650 each.

And Jess Batt is our other person. She's looking for a place for the summer.

Oh, that's really good. I'm looking to spend around $600-$700. I've found a bunch of year-long leases for around that amount, but I'm just looking to sublet for the summer because I'm living with someone I haven't lived with before and we want to make sure we can deal with each other, haha. Anyway, I've been having trouble finding affordable places in the downtown area. Where'd you find the place?

It was on craigslist. And it's a year long lease. But if we can't find another person and it doesn't work out with meghan, you can do it. We just need someone for the summer. Becky's friend is moving to the city then.
