Sims2 won't play on my 7 computer. Bodyshop runs fine, but the game itself freezes after the hood loads or even before that. XP SP2 Compatibility didn't help. I am installing the latest driver atm, let's see if that helps. I am so mad right now, i can't even tell you. I spent all day organizing CC in that game and it turns out it was for nothing.

Did you update ALL the drivers? Not only the graphics ones?
Are you running the game as an admin?
Also ... 7 has DX11 and most games don't support it - did you install DX9c elements? I remember there was an additional database on the Microsoft website. When finished modify your shortcut by adding '-dx9' line.
That's not all - is your computer dual core? Sims 2 hates that. Go into your process manager (ctr + shift + esc), right click and set coligation to one processor.
Last thing - do you have more than 2gb ram? The game also ignores it - find a program to modify the .exe and set it to recognise more than 2gb.
That's all I've got - I spent months googling it :( .

What other drivers would i need to update besides the graphic ones?
Where do i add the -dx line?
Yup, dual core, yup running as an admin and yup, 8 GB RAM. I'll go give all these a try.
Btw, did you manage to get it to work?
