there is only one other long term rehab facility and it IS infact in Springfield, But they only do ventilator patients (which my dad is not) We did ask them to come and evaluate him anyway *JUST IN CASE* and they decided that no they would not take him.
Soooo it's either let him go to this rehab facility that is not local, where he will get the rehab help he desperately needs, or ship him right to a local nursing home, where his insurance will not cover ANY rehab therapy whats so ever.
So we figure... he needs the rehab so it's the right thing to do.
And please Max don't worry about it. I know this is not going to be possible for most.
I just felt like I might get a miricle if I asked.
maybe someone on my friends list has a friend of a friend etc... You never know. It's amazing that people do come together and help when they can. But I know times are hard for everyone right now.
