You have made such a difference. I've followed your story for a couple of years, after losing the love of my life to CF. I've always kept anonymous because I'm a little shy :] Anyway, I just want you to know how grateful I am for your openness. Its giving me insight on some of the more intricate fears and thought process that my dear fiance never shared with me. I held his hand when he hurt, and rubbed his back when he couldn't stop coughing, but we never talked about his fears and doubts and insecurities. When I asked, he said that was a part of himself he was choosing to keep sacred until his transplant, which he never made. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for giving me comfort and knowledge and understanding. Thank you for letting me, a stranger, in.

Should mail be sent to your home or the hospital? :]

Your ability to jot your thoughts down in such a heartfelt and succinct way is amazing and beautiful. Just thought you should know.

There is a package on it's way from Portland OR to you as of today.

You make a huge difference to me, Eva. You've given me a path to follow and I consider us both soldiers in the same great battle.

All I want to do these days is be a lung transplant advocate like you have been! Obviously it's not so easy to march the streets with a sign or something when I need a pair of lungs quite badly myself, so instead I scheme about writing letters to newspapers and politicians, and get people I know signed up as donors.

Imagine how different our journeys would be if, as a condition of taking part in our amazingly good Canadian health care, citizens had to be organ donors? I think your story is a great example of a way to create a movement within our country towards that goal. You've made a big splash and the ripples are still bouncing around in the pond getting people all over the world excited and motivated. So stay optimistic and know that through your amazing love and strength you have created a legacy that will continue no matter what happens!
