Oh, definitely going to rec this on Monday! Fantastic read, particularly the last one. I've always sort of hoped Sherlock was indeed an addict before meeting John, but the idea of him coming clean cold turkey is just SO in character. That is quite the rush for Sherlock, I would imagine.

But now he has John to keep him in check and ensure he doesn't laps back into his old habits :)

Sherlock being an addict is alluded to in the series, and cannon from Conan-Doyle, so to be honest, I'm surprised the idea isn't used more - it is all about the rush, in the end. In the books, Watson is the one who persuades Sherlock to give it all up :) and I like the idea that once they've found eachother, Sherlock doesn't need it anymore. (You might have guessed - I'm a massive Sherlock/John fangirl.)
