Like Ruby said, wistful. Beautiful. Serene. Its fitting. More so that you wrote them.
You know what I love about your writing? The ending. Its almost like a rising sun. Like some kind of hope being splayed open. And its lovely. Thank you.
*laughs* I like the little exchange about the trees and path, and then Andrea finally getting annoyed. It's so v. much like a real koan dialogue between a Zen Buddhist master and his disciple (I don't know what sect Baggio follows, but I've always associated him with Zen).
Thank you! That's what I was aiming for, the student to Sensei talk, because that's the only way I can see these two together, and I'm rather glad it worked. (Nichiren Buddhism. He doesn't talk about it, because it gave him a lot of difficulties at first, especially with his mother.)
Eh-heh, oops. Okay, well, he'll never see this comment and know I thought he was a Zen follower, hopefully (I don't think Buddhist sects are at each other's throats so much now, and anyway Baggio doesn't seem for that sort of thing. But just in case *crosses fingers).
GORGEOUS, NEKO. Wow. I love dialogue like the conversation in the locker room, where each person is so sure of what they're saying they just go on confidently, even thought the other isn't understanding a word. It's so hard to write that convincingly, but boy did you. So wonderful, thank you for this.
