Ooooh, flashbacks. I love flashbacks. This is lovely - poignant and wistful and utterly sweet. *squishes Mutu*

Thank you so much, Ruby! Knowing how you feel about Bobo, it makes me happy you found something to like in it. *grin*

Vieri was impossibly content, savoring his dinner, enjoying the wine, focusing all his attention on the ferocious boy sitting across from him

my favourite line.

and i liked this; nervous!adrian (and something about bobo making him nervous, cause he doesn't seem like the guy that has problems with stress. he is the one everybody waits for, but bobo is bobo, i guess?), and wine (there should always be wine in fanfictions about serie a or italian players) and the flashbacks.

good job, martha!

Thank you, Mira! (I think, inside, Mutu's very nervous, and just barely under control -- he hides it well usually, but Bobo can put anyone on edge, right?)

The Boboqueeing goes without saying, really, but let me just take a second to dwell on it all the same. OMGBOBO! Having taken care of that, I still love your Mutu and how you write his point of view. It's brilliantly done, and I love how he sees The Bobo, and the flashbacks are so well done. So, yeah. I still adore it. ♥

[Why does that say "&hearts" instead of making a heart? Did LJ have a bobble? I can't stop looking at it.]

Wow. You're destroying me here. You know what? I came in expecting to find the Bobo, but I stayed riveted to the fic, pretty much almost trembling as I got to the end, because of Mutu. Your Mutu is amazing. No, I don't think it's enough to express just how very much you've packed in there. And everything is so perfect -- all his movements, his reactions, even the broken up past-present commentary that makes up this narrative -- just making up a picture of a man who is, oftimes, one long, uncontrollable urge to scream. And how well that reflects and rebounds off this Bobo. Who also, before lightning strikes me, may I say is a wonderful, richly coloured Bobo to read. It's nice to see him as a teammate might see him. He's been so many different things at different times, and that coming across through Adrian's PoV is beautiful to read ( ... )

Given the damage your crazy cat lady fic did to me, Nol, I'm indescribably flattered -- thank you, thank you. (And I ended up with such a strong sense of Mutu by the time I was done writing; it makes me really happy it came through somewhat effectively.)

I recognised Vieri so strongly in your characterisation, I got such a feeling of him from this, but also of Mutu. I worry about him, I think he's someone who's had a very nasty scare, and I hope that the after effects don't wear off and he starts to think he's immortal again.

As so often I just follow Nol in saying that Bobo is so many different things at different times, in fics as much as anything else, and in this he's an almost silent counterpoint to Mutu's agitation, it gives a wonderful rythmn to your writing.
