I really like the patience and easy rhythm of this -- it feels like you're just letting things develop naturally, on their own. And the inside of Stewart's head is an interesting thing to be, he's so refreshingly honest with himself, even when he doesn't think he's being so.
Okay first off *squee* because Liverpool and they don't get enough love outside of the usual people. So this was great and tender and a nice, happy story without much sadness and just really sweet. I like it a lot :)
I like how starkly honest you've written Stewart, and that he is aware of his own faults and pushes himself to do better. Setting this over the course of many years instead of just one lets us see his evolution as both a player and a person and I really enjoyed that. His exchanges with Jordan are slow and sweet and I love that last line. Definitely made me smile :3 Good job!
