I am really impressed with your AP scores. There were only a handful of kids at my high school who took 5 or 6 AP classes in a year; they held the positions of "Valedictorian" and "First-Runner-Up-To-Valedictorian".
I'm pretty sure that State will only accept two 5s to get credit for both years of English, so that 2 doesn't really matter anyway.
Also, taking a year off is a good decision because it's What You Want To Do. There's no rush to graduate! Take your time! Don't forget to come hang in Raleigh, though!
