Remember if all else fails... blow something up! Or, the instance of the lady who wrote "The Night Circus" (a book I very much want to read and, as it turns out, is a NaNo book), send your characters to a circus. *grins*

I thought that I'd only write one fic today, but I ended up with two! I swear, the Steve/Danny Hawaii 5-0 muses can practically write themselves once they get going!

The first fic was 1,833 words, the second was 1,270 words. Together, they gave me a daily word count of 3,103 words! And added to my monthly word count so far, that brings me up to 45,245 words for the month! If there was a fanfic category for NaNo, I'd enter it!

The bad news of the day was that the dentist can't see me for another two weeks! So I'll have to deal with the toothache, & hope that it doesn't get a lot worse before he can yank that sucker out.

You can write fanfic for NaNo. And you can write different "short" stories for NaNo, too. They just ask that they "connect". But it's not like they police your writing. Besides, I know very few people that follow the "rules" of NaNo down to the letter. It's about putting aside the internal editor and WRITING. It's about expanding yourself as a writer. It's about teaching your writing muscles to get used to writing every day. It's about doing exactly what you're doing.

And that's too bad about the dentist. Any way you can find another one that can fit you in? That horrible pain to have to deal with!

Ooooh, then maybe I'll enter NaNo next year! I didn't know you could actually write fic -- though some of mine are "connected," most of them aren't. I couldn't just concentrate on a few of my muses for a whole month & neglect the others -- I'd feel too guilty!

My regular dentist is booked up until after Xmas, so I'm having to go to my Gran's dentist instead. I don't want to, because he absolutely REFUSES to give his patients nitrous to calm them down -- & I ALWAYS freak out at the dentist's office. But it's either him, or drive an hour away to go to someone I've never heard of, so I'll just try to stay calm & tell myself a little momentary fear is better than constant pain!

Pushed through to get 2210 words today - 28091 total! I'd made a goal at another place that I would be at 28000 by the midway point (my goal was to write 2000 words a day) and I made it - BARELY!

I've been listening to Hans Zimmer tonight! So good!

Wrote the minimum for today, but broke 30K! One of my characters was being bipolar today but I still love him. *snuggles him* xD
