Our little weekly paper has the most interesting Astrology section. Lately, I've been turning there first just to see what tidbits of wisdom it might have for me. Not for how to live my life... but as a writing challenge. Most of the time it's just a collection of sentences that don't seem cohesive but always seem to inspire at least one idea ( Read more... )

I'm sitting down to start working on this & I'm wondering what the word count is. I looked it over, but either I'm not seeing it, or it's not there. ^^;

The word count is the same as it is for anything here at the community. Minimum is 100 words and there is no maximum.

I have a quick question... Can I combine two prompts like:
B6. Try to maintain your health.
and
C1. The last thing you need is more worry.
to write one story and complete two of the twelve fics? Or do I have to write a total of twelve, using whichever prompts however I want?

Thanks for organizing this challenge! is totally going to screw with NaNoWriMo

We have allowed people to combine prompts in the past if it's in a longer story and there is a "chapter break" of sorts so that something that could feasibly be posted for each prompt. Otherwise, you would have to pick which prompt you wanted to use. Does that clear up the question?

And it's supposed to help with NaNo! *grins*

Okay, yeah, I think that does answer my question. And it doesn't matter how long each 'chapter' is as long as it's over one hundred words, right?

Well, I already have my NaNo idea fleshed out for the most part, so I'm down on that streak of luck. On the plus side, I do have Aries and Taurus done, and I'm working on Leo! Woo!

That's it exactly! The "chapters" can be as long as you need them to be as long as they're 100 words or more.

Will there be a grace period of a few days after the 1st for this challenge, as there normally is? This is the week from hell and I'm not quite sure if I'll be able to swing getting everything done by the 1st--by the 4th or 5th, though, might be doable!
