It's not a tragedy of epic proportions or anything. There's been maybe a post once a month, all of which could be easily posted to one of the other, more active communities. I'd rather just shut down the community instead of pretending like it serves any purpose anymore. It's not sad, just inevitable. Think of it like a little housekeeping, is all. :)

It's always a little sad when comms die, but I completely understand.

On a side note, I always loved your iCarly fics. I'm horrible when it comes to commenting but wanted to let you know. :)

Sad, but I understand :( I'll miss your layouts, but iCarly has been somewhat dead to me for a while now anyway. I'm still a member for nostalgia's sake :')

noooo, neither Theshayloft nor Groovysmoothie are really active, either.

The whole fandom's kind of been in a gradual decline, anyway, so this makes sense. I had a lot of good memories here, though ♥

You didn't miss anything not worth missing. Just some more wankery and a lot of boredom. There was a decisive shift for the productive members of fandom off of Livejournal some time last year, I'm thinking? People are over on tumblr, twitter, in other forums, and in weird places like facebook, youtube and whatever other sites have non-primary social aspects. Combined with the decline of the show itself, and the weird airing schedule, and of course, shenanigans relating to a certain show creator, I think I can safely say that there's no market for the kind of iCarly community that I wanted 5_4_3_2 to be, on Livejournal, anymore.

In fact, I'll make a "find us elsewhere!" post later, so everyone can keep in touch if they want.

No, I'm not over at tumbler, twitter, and stuff, as they don't work with my old browser.

I've still got way over 100 fanfictions involving iCarly characters up my sleeve, regardless airing schedules and declining fandoms.

Admitted, they all involve several other Nickelodeon shows, sometimes even Disney shows., of the same category. And they concentrated often enough more on very minor characters than the big four.

For example, I've started for a challenge with a claim of Cal (from the episode zi>iGo Nuclear) / Quinn Pensky (Zoey 101), with 100 prompts. Over 90 of them are still to come.

Do my fanfictions count as wankery or as boredom?

Don't you run some private LJ community or something of your own? Your fanfiction.net account? You can just link to wherever you post your own stuff, you know?

Anyway, why would you ask me such a question about your fic being wankery or boredom? How am I supposed to answer that? :/
