Oh lord love a duck I've been eating books. Even more than usual. Let me try and do a bit of a review for each of these.

This is an entirely understandable sentiment - Professor Lyall is the best ever. I desperately want to spoil his backstory for you because it is glorious and tragic, but I won't.
Your third reason: yes yes yes Gail Carriger is fantastic. Just, I love everything about the way she writes. Her blog is just as awesome.
Lord Akeldama! I currently have all the thoughts about him, which I am going to post about soon. But tell me what you think about Biffy?

omg oh, i love biffy. i think he's absolutely fantastic and i'd love to see more of him and akeldama, more of their past, more of everything. as;lkfgjhlkfdjhlkfdfd. i'm going to mow through the next two books as fast as i can, and then it'll be a LONG PANICKY MONTH waiting for the last book, i'm sure.

He is gay. Once you find out who he was in a mutual relationship with, you will scream even louder. Trust me.
Epic shit goes down on the Biffy/Akeldama front in Blameless, and you will probably cry, so have tissues ready. But Biffy is much more important in the latter books, and we are apparently getting vampire backstory in general in Timeless.
Yes we can! She's not one of my favourites, but she is still so so awesome! In Blameless Alexia and Genevieve and Floote go to France and Italy and have adventures and it is glorious. And she is really important to the plot of Heartless.
