I've just had the chance to read all 3 chapters of your fic. I really like Alex, and love the little interaction that she and Sawyer have had this season, so I'm glad to see someone writing the two of them in this manner. Love the way you have Sawyer feeling a responsibility for her well being, and this exchange between Sawyer and Kate is just great - especially the last line!
Kate’s smile returned. “You’re worried about her.”
Sawyer scoffed. “Like hell.”
“You are! You’re actually worried about her.”
He rolled his eyes. “I’m worried that I ain’t gonna get a decent night’s sleep if she keeps havin’ nightmares like that.”
Kate stood up and brushed the sand from her jeans. “Well I told Claire I’d watch Aaron for her, so I’ll leave you to your guard duty.”
“It ain’t guard duty.”
Kate leaned down towards his ear. “If you turn your book right-side up, people might believe you’re reading it.”
Very much in character for both of them. Nice job!
Thanks! Glad you like it. I love the character of Alex and I wish they'd show more of her. I figure until they do, I'll just have to settle with my own imagination.
