Starting next week, I'll be working Monday mornings reliably, since I'll have to be there for the stupid managers meetings. The only thing working in my favor here is that it's at seven o'clock in the morning, which is damned unpleasant, but also means I'll be somewhat sleepily numb to the proceedings, I hope ( Read more... )

Hey congrats on the music manager position. Yay for more money, right? Is it like $10/hr or something? And you'll get to boss people around, schedule their shifts, and speak up at meetings. I'm still pissed at Leslie for not giving me the job years ago.

Actually, she hasn't told me what it pays, yet. It'll be more than I'm making now, and that's all I know.

What's better is I get to schedule MY shifts. I have a feeling that speaking up at meetings is purely ceremonial and has no impact on the store operations whatsoever.

You would have been good at it.

Woot on the PO Box. That is definitely a big step in the right direction.

I would recommend talking to your therapist about the dance class. It's obviously important to you, and causing a negative impact.

Yeah... I'm going to have to. It IS important to me, it's just a matter of how long should I sacrifice dancing? I'll start SOMETHING when I move to CA, whether it's Irish or not, but I don't know about the meantime...

Lord, I hope the PO box thing works. I mean, surely some of these forms and things will want where you're LIVING and not where you get your mail, and they'd better not screw up where they send stuff...

*blinks* Ok, I think I might still be missing something cuz I don't recall seeing things about you moving to CA. But then again, I've been.. rather out of it. Irish stuff is never unwelcome though, given that my male SO is Irish. *grins*

Well, it's the government. I'd recommend that you just dot all your i's and cross all your t's and you'll be fine.

Oh, it probably got lost in the post-Gallifrey postings. I went to the con, made awesome friends, and now all my friends and all the weather I like and the cons I want to go to and EVERYTHING is out in California, and I've wanted to move there for like, forever anyway, so you know what? The time has come.

I don't have a date yet, but I'm workin on it, starting with tying up everything I can back here.
